Before After

Call me Forrest Gump

First off, thanks everyone for the recommendations on where I can find jeans. I was so happy to see that I am not the only person that has this dilemma!

Now to explain my title for today...I am going to start running. I decided that I have to stop talking about it and start working on it. That and my friend asked me to do a Mother's Day  Run/Walk - but she's running, that wouldn't be fun for me...because I can't run!

So I have heard the Couch to 5K talked about so much that I decided to print off the work out (that's the first step, right?) and start the work out tonight...I think this might also heal my relationship with the treadmill...because that is one machine that I do not enjoy...I feel like time stands still when I am on that conveyor belt! So if I start today I should be able to run a 5K in the beginning of July...I'll keep you posted on my successes and challenges with this attempt. I am confident that I can do it- its just that its going to to take some getting used to, but I think it would be fun to run little races and get out to meet new people. So my laces are tied and I am off to the races!

(If I don't write tomorrow it means that the attempt went horrible awry and I am in traction!)

Take care and remember to drink your water!

Good for you

I have always wanted to do marathon.  Good for you.  I wanted to comment on your last entry.  I too have a small waist and a bigger lower half.  I always get jeans that fit my lower half and then I'll get the waist taken in by a seamtress.  You may try that.  It is amazing when you get them back and they fit!  Be sure to wash and dry your jeans before taking them.  Good luck!!

Ok Forrest Gump

I too printed the Couch to 5k....my husband is training for an IronMan in Oct...I thought why not start with some marathons?  I am working my way up on the treadmill (slow jog) and bike...soon I will be able to actually run, then I will hit the track!

You go girl!  I am rooting for you!
