Before After

Really, they need to make 1/2 sizes...

Just like shoes! Your not quite an 8 but definitely not a 9 so you get an 8 1/2- it makes sense! Why can't they do this with jeans?? I am having a huge problem with finding jeans that fit. I am down almost 30 pounds and I want to show it...so I am on the prowl for a pair of jeans that actually fit. I am in between a 12 and a 14...I carry most of my weight in my lower half of my body...I am so proud that its getting slimmer- but so discouraged that this treasure hunt for a pair of pants that actually fit is never ending . They fit for a minute and then I spend the rest of the day pulling them up...but then again, maybe that's a form of arm exercises?? I have tried suffering through wearing them and then wash them in hot water to shrink them a little- but seriously - some one needs to some up with 1/2 sizes. my waist is a 12 at this point- maybe a 10 even...but my butt and thighs- still a 14- so frustrating - and my legs are extremely short so that just adds to the issue.

Here is another gripe about jeans- not everyone is supposed to wea low rise jeans. I know that I am one of these people. I want to keep it all under cover- I don't want my 'muffin top' to be spilling over the sides of my pants- I don't want my underwear to be on display for the world to see...I asked an Old Navy sales person ( I prefaced this with "You are probably going to think that I am 100 years only when I ask this ...but")  do you have  jeans that aren't low rise or  ULTRA low rise, like they sit more on the waist ...her response...we used to but they weren't popular so we don't make them anymore!! I said of course you don't and made my way towards the exit. Sorry for my rant!

Have a great weekend everyone, remember to drink your water!

PS - last two days have been good ones- since I am writing everything down! I promised myself that I wouldn't get on the scale until tuesday (that's hard since its become an automatic in the morning!)

Better than a 1/2 size!

Hi Linds,

Thanks for your comment on my page yesterday.  I totally understand your quest for decent fitting jeans.  I have found one pair that address the small waist / larger hind quarters issue.  At Walmart they have "Riders - Instantly Slims" jeans for about $25.  It also has a tummy pannel to help smooth out the middle.  I really like the fit on these and they are so comfortable!

Good luck!

Kohls

Linds
I found a pair of jeans that fit me good. I also hate low rise and ultra low rise. I ofcourse have to buy petite which is hard to find both. I bought my jeans at Kohls. They are made by Sonoma Life and Style. You might want to try them out.

Congratulations

on your 27lb weight loss!  That is awesome...I cant wait to hit that number!!!

Keep it up!

Hey there!

Thanks for dropping by my blog :) the couch to 5k training is really good.. if I wasn't doing that, I would've gotten tired of being on my treadmill a LONG while ago!

Congrats on the amazing weight loss! Jeans are one of the most horrible things to buy. I am still in my Size 18's at the moment (grrrrr) but in a way, I love the fit of them so much that I'd hate for them to change!

I am with you on the pants issue.

I actually spend half of my life tightening the waist of my pants. My waist is totally a different size than my rear.

In work pants I actually sew the waist band tighter. It's so completely frustrating.

Sometimes I find like an oldnavy - have different styles on line - more of the classic look. And the Gap is always good they give you many different options.
