A weekend of some good R&R.

A weekend of some good R&R.
I admit this weekend I was pretty lazy. lol Friday night after I got out of work.. I met my sister for some walking.  I wanted to walk farther but it was sprinkling when we left to go... and who knows when it was going to down pour.  Right after we walked back in the house.. downpour.. lol Good thing we didn't go as far as I wanted to in the first place.

Saturday it was a super downpour all day!  I'm talking streets being flooded and my back yard had a river going through it.  Crazy downpouring rain.  It was a good stay in day.. cleaned up the house a bit.. then went to go babysit my nephew that night so my sister can go to a birthday party was some friends.. oh what a nice sister I am.. :)
We made awesome chilli saturday during the day... Ohhh yum yum That was the best chili I have ever made... Prob pretty healthy too...
1 lb turkey
1 can progresso kidney beans
1 can diced garlic and onion tomatos
1 big can of crushed tomatos
1 can of corn
1/2 jar of pace garden salsa (lots of veggies)
handful of chedder chesse
1 packet of mild chili seasoning

it was cooking in the crockpot on low for about 4 hours and then high for the last hour
Hmmmmmmmmmmm 
Top it with some light sour cream and cheese.. yum yum
So we ate that Sat for dinner and when we came home from babysitting lol


Sunday was another R&R day.  It was super windy and freezing from the rain all day saturday.  Even though it was so sunny out it was COLD!  I wanted to at least go walking.. the bf wouldn't come to the park with me to walk.  But we went to the mall so that I can walk and he can be warm. lol So we walked both on the top floor and the bottom floor went into all the inlits and tried to make the most out of it we could.  After two laps he was ready to go.. I still couldof walked more but I was getting hungry.  Hey at least I got some little bit of walking in.  Then we went home made dinner and I worked on websites all night.

Today I did pretty well... besides the waking up super late part lol.  I jogged on lunch whooo hooo.. I did the small lap circle I do when I normally walk the short route.  I figure I'll get that route down then I'll make my route bigger and bigger the faster and the more I run.  My legs don't hurt me!  Thats a good thing!  I ate some chicken when I came back.. great for protein.. and I stored my gym clothes in the locker so tomorrow I don't have to lugg a big bulky bag with me.  (i still have to pick up a lock).

Thank god the day is almost over.. Today was super busy from the time I got here till an hour ago.  We've had a constant 10-17 calls on hold all day, which is ALOT.  Then you finally pick up and the poor people have been on hold for about 12 minutes waiting for tech support to answer so they are really fustrated.. You finally calm them down a bit and show them that you are going to take your time with them like I just did to the last person, then they get alot more happier. Thank god I didn't get any mean people on the phone today gesh I hate them.  Do me a favor all of you.. If you ever call tech support or a call center in general.. please be nice lol we are nicer to nice people, and we'll have fun with you I promise lol.

w00t for Friday

wow I feel 110% better today then I did yesterday!

Today on lunch I did jog.  woohoo I wanted to go farther then I did but the path I decided to take was flooded at my midway point.  So I turned around and came back.  My mp3 player also died at the beginning of that jog Grrr. The route I went today had KILLER stairs.  at the end of my jog I had to come up those stairs.. I took them 2 at a time and was super duper out of breath by the time I got to the top.  I stopped for a min.. stretched haha yes I said STRETCHED
I made I stretched before the jog... during the jogg... and after the jogg!  Woooohooo.  my shin doesn't hurt like it did the other day :) ANNNNNNNNNNNnnd I jogged in longer spurts then I did the other day!  I am on my way to be a jogger wooooohooooo

After work tonight I am meeting up with my sister.  We are going to walk around her town a bit.. we didn't have our "walking date" on wednesday.  I'm super proud of her.. I dunno what's going on she has been doing crunches every morning, drinking water and eating healthy.  I dunno what has gotten into her but I'm so proud of her.  She is never like this lol. 

Oh here's a funny,... my butt looks smaller. lol I was pulling out the little fold out couch we have last night.  I was bent over and the boyfirned says, "your butt is smaller... rowel"

Take or nap or take a walk????

Hello...
Today I'm super tierd.  I went out last night and stayed up WAAAAAAAAAAAY later then I shouldof.  I used to be able to stay out all night get maybe 1 hour of sleep and be fine.  Last night I went to bed at 230 and woke up at 7 and I was hurting.  Still am. :(  I think I'm getting old.

I took it easy the last two days.  after my jog on Tuesday my shin started to hurt.  What a lovely BF i got; he rubbed my shin for me all night.  :) i love him.  He's so proud of me.  And backs me up 100% with this jogging thing.

Yesterday I just walked, I didn't walk my normal long route... I took a bit of a shorter route.. My shin was still hurting a bit on the walk.. And while I was walking I was super afraid I really hurt myself. I then googled a bunch of info on how to stretch your shins so you don't get shin splits.  I have been doing them for the last two days and my shins are starting to feel better. 

Today was BEAUTIFUL outside!!  Oh man.  I was so tierd I was debating on walking or taking a nap while on lunch.  I was very close to just taking a nap at my desk or in my car.  Then it hit me.. "It's BEAUTIFUL OUTSIDE GET SOME SUN!!!"  so I went for a walk.  I wish i had more energy becuase it was so nice out I wouldof jogged.  Yet maybe it's a good thing I didn't have that energy.. so my shins can take another day to heal.  They feel ALOT better then they did Tuesday night.  I think I'm going to try to jog on some grass tomorrow to help ease the shin splints if that is what I have. And if not.. jogging on the grass will help prevent shin splints.

Ok.. for now im leaving.. go check up on everyone else lol.

So this morning like promised I took my measurements.
I was super happy with the results.
My tummy went down a whole inch!!!!!  and my theighs went down a whole inch also!  This is great!  My calfs went up a half inch.. but that is expected due to the running and walking I've been doing!

My weight stayed the same.. well.. it went down about half a pound;  but that doesn't really bother me.  I know with building muscles (in my calfs he he) I am going to weigh more.

Today on my lunch I did a different route.  I actually changed so I can fully jogg and not worry about being stinky coming back to work. lol I almost got locked out of the locaker room and I didn't get alot of time in.  WHich sucks!  I wasn't able to eat my soup when I came back grrrr.  Hopefully I'll be able to eat it after management leaves. And I think I'm goign to pick myself up a lock so then I can keep my jogging clothes there.

Today it's warm.  Up in the 50's warm!  I was so excited when I woke up this morning.  But before I went to lunch it started raining.  When I went on lunch It wasn't really raining out it was more of a drizzle misty rain.  I still jogged. :)  And had tons of sweat all over me. (thank god it was drizzely to help cool me off).  I'm Still on week 1.  I don't want to push it too much.  I think tomorrow I will take a break from jogging and walk though.  The muscles around my shins are hurting me today.  I don't want to over do it and get shin splints or anything like that.

Ok time to get back to work.. and try to heat up my soup without management seeing me hehehehehe.

A new month a new me on the way!

Welcome March!  It's a new month!  Wooo hoo that went by fast.  I forgot to take my measurments for the begining of the month.  Maybe I'll do that first thing tomorrow morning.  I just like to keep a month to month tracking of how I'm doing. I think once a week is too much especially for measurements... But hey to each thier own.. right?

I have signed up for the 5k race which is in two weeks!!!  I must must must train hard for this.  One of my friends said that no matter what I'll be amped by seeing everyone running that I'll be able to accomplish the race because of the others motivation.  lol we'll see.  I don't want to push myself too hard, I do NOT want to hurt myself.  I like this jogging thing.. It gives me "me meditative time"  It's something that I am doing for me.  I'm not doing it cuz he or she is doing it.. I'm doing it for me and only me.  :)

Oh by the way the podcasts for Couch to 5k ROCK!  The trance on there is super good and I'm not even a trance type of person lol.  I usually work out to hard core rock music or hard house music.

My sister said she can't make our "walking date" this week.  I think I'm going to meet her some time after I get out of work and then we can walk or jogg.  I'm so proud of her!  Today she emailed me and told me how she's been drinking more water and even has done crunches this morning.  She said she feels great and has so much energy.  I told her to keep it up thats what excercise does!  For her going from someone who is alway miserable and grumpy to actually being excited about something is great!

Ok thats all for now.. More training tomorrow :)  actually double training...

motivation

Sorry i haven't posted... Haven't posted here, or on any of my support boards. blah last week i was in a funk still trying to shake it off. I took some "me" time and cleaned the house.. oh it was so bad.. i NEVER let it get that bad.. I guess I was just out of it and let it go and maybe with me letting that go it got me into a worse funk.. I dunno all I know is that I mentally feel a bit better... Still working on entierly. 

Yesterday was BEAUTIFUL outside! I walked hard and fast on my lunch break! I even built up a sweat! When I came back to work I had sweat dripping down my back.. EWL EWL EWL but hey you gotta sweat to burn something lol. Tomorrow I'll continue to walk on lunch then hit the gym after work for some more cardio.. :) I'll keep this up work on cardio.. the more cardio I do the better... I'll lose the fat and then revamp with strength training.

OHHHHH good news! I convinced my sister to come with me on Wednesdays to walk! It's her day off so she meets me at work and she walks with me.. Gesh she's a slow poke.. but she just started so in a few weeks she'll be fast like me :) Hopefully she keeps it up and comes out with me more.

C25k Day 2

today I completed day 2 of C25K.  Wow today hurt more then the other day, felt like my chest was going to explode out.. lol I think I pushed myself harder today then the other day hence why I hurt more.  I have to remeber to take baby steps.. hence the C25k program.. duuuuuuuh!
Tomorrow I will hit the 1 mile track that's near my house and progress further with my C25K.. wooohoo..  they even have a fitness trail along the track so I might stop and do the exercises at the fitness stations. 

I need need need to take measurements tomorrow SO i can judge how much my body is losing due to the jogging. Some motivational bikini pics may be in order also.. we'll see if I remeber lol.

Also I heard that it's good to have a goal.  I have a goal with all this running.  :) My goal is to run in the breast cancer race in the park on May 10th.  It's a 5k race around the exact park I will be at tomorrow.  I want to complete that race.  That is a goal of mine.

Couch to 5k program

Has anyone done this program before?  I'm thinking about starting it on Monday.  I would LOVE to hear from people who have done this and see what thier progress is or how it went over all.

It's been a while

Wow, it's been alittle while since I've posted.  I've started posting on another site that has a lot of cool tools, articles workouts, tips, grocery lists, etc etc.  Hence why I haven't really been here.  But here is an update anyways.. :)  

My work days have been completely nutts and we have not even have had a moment to ourselfs to breathe.  Hence why I haven't been here as much as I'ld like.  My classes at night has been overwhelming me a little bit also so I haven't had the chance to post at night either.

On my lunches I've been walking about 2 miles EVERYDAY!  It's been like second nature to me.. I've been getting faster in my walks :) I have even been picking up the pase and power walking more.  I think starting the first week in Feb I am going to bring a change of clothes and start jogging on my lunches.  I think that will be a great idea.  That way I can go farther, burn more calories, and get more into something I was once into.  I'm excited to do this.. I really want to keep up on it!

My bf and I started doing crunches every night before bed.  We haven't done that in a week or so.  We need to get back in that routine.  I also haven't jumped any rope in a few weeks.. :( Thats something else I need to get into the swing of things.  It's just kindof hard to motivate myself to go in the basement right after I wake up and jump rope while the coffee is brewing.  I need to figure out a method of what works best for myself.

As always lol my cubboards are bare in my house.. Thank god I get paid tomorrow! We seriosuly need to go grocery shopping.  I've never seen the house this empty.. Hmmm maybe I'll go shopping tonight and kite a check so I have something to eat.  Jeppy is away on work and there is no food.. lol this sucks.  I can always go eat at my moms but they don't eat that healthy maybe ill just break down and check kite LOL get some yum yums for myself :)

Any cool healthy ideas and treats I should pick up????

freaking pedometer thing!

This pedometer is starting to get on my nerves.... It reset itself three... yes 3 times yesterday!!!!!   Grrrrrrrr at least I know the first two times it was around 2k each, i didn't catch what I was at the third time.   I gotta stop leaning up on things which causes it to reset.  I did alot yesterday too!  I even went shopping and did some serious house cleaning.  oh that makes me mad.

Anyways lol HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!!!!!!!1  I'm not one for new year resolutions but I actually have some this year  surprise surprise.  I am going to school come Jan 7th whoo hooo.. So my resolution is for me to

  • do great in school
  • Get down to a weight of 130-140
  • get another promotion
  • Pay off bills and debt one by one
  • Enjoy my time... go on more mini day trips and at least 1 real vacation.
  • join the Y so I can swim laps and rock climb

Yup those are my resolutions.. going back to School was one of them but now I'm already enrolled and my classes start on the 7th.  Im so excited :)

So today is nice.. It's new years eve but since everyone in the world has the day off it's pretty slow.  I don't mind it.  Allows me to pay my bills do some web surfing and catch up on now phone work.  I'm working till 630 tonight  OUCH... but then I get out of work and walk on down to the park.  My boyfriend is doing sound in the park for this first night festival.  So I'm going to go hang out with him, which is also at my friends bar... so its double awesome :)

Time for lunch though.  You all have a safe and happy night
