Thank you!

Thank you all for your kind words and prayers for my friend.  My friend and I really appreciate it.  You people rock!


I hope you all had a good weekend.  I know I did.  Friday night I went out with my car friends then I met my BF at a club he was playing at.  we stayed there till close, swung by the shop and the BF grabbed a bottle of wine.  We then proceeded home and opened our bottle of wine and drank it at about 4am.  It was good thought we also got some great talking in.  Wellllllll all that drinking and talking caught up to me on saturday.  not only did I sleep till 2pm, I proceeded to go back to bed till about 530 pm, and did absolutely nothing but lay in bed watching movies all day. lol   It was nice and definitely different because I never do that.. but that's what I did, I didn't even touch a computer!  Can you believe that!

Sunday, we played super clean house, did some xmas shopping, and hung some xmas lights around the living room.  I even played a little bit of Xmas music.  lol we made steak and shrimp fajitas and for the first time making them they were pretty darn good!  I pre-packaged my lunches for this week.  My lunches are going to contain mostly salad this week, and we are hitting the gym hard Mon, Tues and Wednesday!  I want to get myself going good for this crazy holiday weekend.  I have 3 Thanksgiving dinners to go to!  One on thursday, one on friday and another on saturday.  UGH  caotic!

How are we going to be careful this thanksgiving?????

I'm going to:
Drink plenty of water
Take smaller portions
Eat SLOWLY!
Stop when I think I am full.
try to rally up some people to do for an after meal walk instead of plopping on the couch in front of the TV or maybe run around outside with the kids and dog???
Try avoiding the butter on bread, and the silly little extras people use

I am not going to over do this week!  This week is a test to ALL of us! We can do this we can be strong, eat what we enjoy but don't over do it.


What types of actions are you going to put into place to help curb your eating for thanksgiving?  Do you have any tips?  Ideas or thoughts?


Today for food I have:
Coffee
Yogurt
Banana
Salad w/ tuna and a splash of italian dressing
Fruit bar
1/2 cup of cottage cheese
apple sauce

dinner - not sure yet.. cola chicken?

Good question!

I just think people feel obligated to over eat on Thanksgiving. Or they give themselves permission to do so. I decide beforehand what I will eat and what I will be skipping. Eating a healthy breakfast is always good, and snacking on vegetables & water always helps. Definitely taking a walk is always a must.

Sorry to hear about your friend losing all of her possessions in a fire! How tragic. Its good to know she has friends who care about her!!

Cola Chicken, huh?  Do share that one.

You're right, we CAN enjoy all foods in moderation.  Let's try to remember that come Thursday.  The problem is that there are SO many choices.  And even in moderation, if we choose each thing, it's too much.  So I have to make sure only to choose my favorites.

I'm doing questions daily too.  I love reading what others say on the health front.

For me, I'm not going to sit down to Thanksgiving starving.  That's a recipe for disaster in this house.  lol
