Day 2 of challenge completed!

Day 2 of challenge completed!

Went for another 45 min walk yesterday on my lunch.  Today I only have a half hour lunch so the cardio will be a bit hard to do.  But I also have a volleyball game tonight.. does that count?  Or not really due to the fact there isn't really that much cardio invovled.  If it doesn't I'll make the BF do pushups or crunches with me later.

Thank you all for your kind words yesterday especially with your concerns, stories and so on with diabetes.  We are to go grocery shopping tonight, so I'll try picking up some whole grain pasta instead of the regular pasta.  Simple little things help alot.  I printed out a few WW recipes that even the BF said looks good.  So we're going to make a few of those for dinners.

Last night we tried to go grocery shopping at a different store we usually don't go to... Stew leonards if any of you ever heard of it.  At first it seemed cool then we started realizing that the prices were way more expensive then our typical stop and shop.  So we left our carriage there in the middle of the grocery store and left.  I feel bad for doing so but that place is such a maze and I wasn't putting everything back lol.  For dinner we ended up going to ruby tuesday where I ate salad and had some baked tilapia with brown rice and broccali.. Oh it was soooo good!  I didn't eat it all and brought it for my lunch today lol.

We STILL haven't gotten a new car yet.  The bank is having issues because he is a 1099 employee and doesn't have a schedual C for his taxes.  It is just a big stressful mess. Honestly don't feel like chatting about it at the moment.  Over all I think either he wont be able to get a car or I'll have to buy the car in my name and after he gets his taxes done professionally this year have him refinance it.  We will see.

Day 2!!!

Good job on Day 2!!!!  Your doing awesome with food, and working out!!!

Yes, Volleyball counts, it may not be cardio, but it is strenght training using your own body wt, plus it is just plain old Fun!!!

Hope everything works out with the car.

Thanks for posting me earlier today.  So glad you are in this with me too!

Love, Laura.

encouragement

Thanks for the encouragement, my little one (Rachel) is doing much better today.  She is just doing fluids, but definitely better than yesterday.  I'm not sure how I'm going to get my ten minutes  in yet today since most of it has been watching cartoons with R.  I will though; thanks to the challenge I'll find a way to get it in.  Maybe when DH gets home.

I have done that

Firstly well done on your exercise!

Mum and I left a trolley one day.  We hated the dark dingy supermarket so half we through we caught each others eyes and ditched the trolley!  Felt great!!!!

Great Job!

You are doing a great job on exercising and what you are eating!  I love the idea of the mini challenge you gave me about a mile in 15 minutes at the end of the challenge.  I'm so new to all of this exercise stuff!  I've never been able to stick with it!  Thanks!

Dinner

Your dinner sounds so good!

Good luck with the car!

And, yeah, I would say volleyball counts.

Groceries

That reminds me I need to go too! There was nothing for me & DH  to bring for lunch today. We had to go with the old standby-PB&J. Not good for my diet at all. WTG on the walking! Every bit counts.

Activity

Count the volleyball! It's definitely a great activity, even if you are only playing "backyard" volleyball. You are still moving and it's better than sitting on the couch watching tv!
