Yeah me!

 First WI and 4 lbs down! I am so excited! I wasn't expecting this much because I wasn't following a structured diet just watching my portions and making better choices. I know that this is the 1st week so it will show a bigger loss. But I feel so motivated!!!!!!!

I had a busy day. I went to get my haircut and it looks cute btw! I also got my eyebrows done bc I looked like a cave woman! I got some new sports bras and I can't wait to put them to good use!!

On another note, the BF and I are good. I am so happy bc I missed him so much. I am going to the movies to see Shutter! Scary. I am going to take my own snacks. ANyone have any good movie snack suggestions?

DRAMZ at the Gym!

The gym has been an event for me these days. Well on Tuesday, I bumped into two of my favorite people at the gym. I say this sarcastically   and I was snubbed by them. lol it made for good motivation on the treadmill. i pretended I was running on their face . I know evil

Today I saw this guy I used to date. Ugh the last thing I needed! Now he can see what a fat azz I have become. Why is it that when we see the ex we want to look Fabulous??? Thank God I was wearing a cap. I wanted to pull it over my head.

These two days have been a little hectic. I haven't been eating the greatest but I have been watching portion sizes and watching what I put in my mouth. I have been kicking butt at the gym. I am doing 50 minutes of cardio and I feel like I'm on my way to getting in shape. TOM (grrr) is here!!!I have been so emotional and I can't stand it. I have had enough of myself.

I am going to make tommorow a more productive and positive day!

Emotional Rollercoaster

I'm on an emotional rollercoaster and all I can think of is How do I get off???? I feel like I am going CRAZY. Two things are putting me in this predicament. The BF and I are hitting a rough spot lately. He is dealing with somethings and he's gone into his cave and won't come out and talk. It is driving me insane!!! We haven't talked in a week...only a few text messages. It makes me so sad because I am used to talking to him first thing in the morning and right before I go to bed. Not having him (D) for week is tearing me up inside.

Dilemma #2-My high school 10 year reunion is looming over my head like a dark cloud. I haven't decided if I will attend yet. I feel like it's pointless because I don't care to be around high school people. But there's another part of me that feels I am being cowardly. All I know at this point is that if I am not in tip top shape I will not attend!

I felt like I was drowning so I took action. I did the Taebo Amped workout and it kicked my azz . I felt so much better as my muscles burned. This is a new habit I need to adopt workout when life throws me these curveballs.

I'm ready for tomorrow! I have a 9 am gym date with my buddy and I am ready to make it BURN!I'm also looking forward to my C25K w1 d2 workout!

Eating is HARD WORK

Yeah....I never thought I would think that. I live to EAT! But last night, I caught that show on TLC,I can make you thin! I was very skeptical but I decided what do I have to lose? Paul McKenna said something that made so much sense to me. That is that many people (ME) think about food all day long except when they are actually eating. It is so true for me!!! I tune out while I shovel food into my mouth. I am so used to eating so fast that I barely taste my food. I  think its all about the ritual with food for me. So I payed attention to the 4 Golden rules and I have decided to try them out. At least for a week .

So I am happy to report that I have been adhering by those "rules" and I have yet to gooble all my food. I am getting tired of chewing and I have been getting full faster. What??? Listen to my stomach when it tells me I'm full!! That's preposterous! But I have and it's working which will allow me to continue with my lil experiment.

I'm doing great today! I worked out  for 45 minutes of cardio intervals. I had my vitapak , water, and I had alot of leftover Chinese at lunch. It was hilarious! My friend even asked if I didn't like my food because I left half my plate. I told her about my experiment.

P.s. I did ok last night at the BBQ but I gobbled alot of chips and salsa. In my defense-I had not watched the show yet! The ROCKETS ARE #1! 22 games won!

C25K ROCKS my Body!!!

Hiya lovely ladies! I just finished my week 1 d1 of my c25k training and I feel divine!!!  I normally don't use that word but in this case, it's fitting. Thanks to all of you who blogged about the c25k program because I googled it and viola I did my 1st work out today! I feel so accomplished!!!!

I used to be a runner a few years ago and I was trying to get my groove back and the program was perfect for me! I downloaded podrunner intervals on to my ipod and it was so easy to do. The music was so motivating! I had to share.

BTW-I'm going to a BBQ in honor of the winning streak the Houston ROCKETS are having. 21-0 Baby!!! Woo hoo! I am set on being good! I'll let ya'll know how I did

Well day dos is officially over and I feel good. Overall I made better choices about everything. Water intake-check, food-check, working-out-check. I went and got some new work out clothes so I don't look so frumpy at the gym...I needed more motivation. I guess going to show off your new gym clothes works for me.

I am a firm believer that your thoughts drive your destiny and I was envisioning where I want to be bodywise. I feel my goal is definately attainable.

I like a payoff so my first mini goal is to lose 20 lbs. If...ahem I should say when I achieve this task I will get highlights. My BFF got highlights yesterday and they look FABULOUS! I was planning on getting mine this week but I decided to put it off because I want to earn that privilege

SPRING BREAK!!!!!!!!

Hey Everybody!!!

I am so happy it's Spring Break!!!! As a school counselor, I needed this week long break! This is my week to rededicate myself to getting fit and healthy. I plan on getting rejuvinated this week and I am so excited

I had a great morning today! I got up and went to the gym. I pushed myself on the elliptical machine for 30 minutes. Yesterday I was barely able to do 20 minutes. I also did 10 minutes on the bike and then 15 minutes in the sauna. I was a little sore but I worked through it. I also walked my dogs around the neighborhood. I have so much energy!!! I think I will have to work out again later tonight because my energy level feels through the roof

I think another factor in my amazing energy level is I started taking these GNC vitapaks for active women. These lil paks are amazing!!! Sorry to sound like an infomercial but they are great!

My Fitness Plan for Spring Break:

45 minutes of Cardio at the gym

Week 1 C25K Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday afternoons

Billy Blanks Amped MWF evening

I know it sounds a little excessive but I am shooting for it. I am sore but it feels so GOOD

On the outside looking in

I had to get this off my chest and since I said I would be accountable I'm going to own up to it. Since September I have been on this downward spiral. I feel like I am outside myself looking in. I don't feel like me and I hate this feeling. I don't like doing the things I once loved to do. I avoid all social functions like the plague. For example today, my firends want to go to Happy Hour and I didn't respond to any of their email about getting together. Also, my childhood bff invited me to a party to kick off SPring Break and I know that I have no plans of attending. I feel horrible. I feel like a hermit.

I don't feel depressed about other parts of my life except my body image. It's like I expect things to change but I can't bring myself to get off the couch and be THE CHANGE I AM WAITING FOR! Ahhhhh it's so frustrating! I do not feel like a participant in my own life. Has anyone felt like this before? If so, what got you through it?

A New Beginning

HI All,

I am going to do something I have never done before. I am going to hold myself ACCOUNTABLE! I always start but I never finish. I don't want to be known as that type of person. I've seen to many success stories and I want to bask in the same glory.

I am not going to focus on the ins and outs of my downward spiral. I admit I am out of control and I hate the feeling! Im going to get all Gestalt and focus on the here and now! SO here is how I am planning to be successful this time around:

Take my Vitapaks Daily

Water Intake-up to 64 oz daily

work out goal-5 times a week for at least 30 minutes to begin

Food intake: Finish my nutrisystem meals (I need structure)

Wish me luck! I will try to report my progress daily. Spring Break is awesome!
