Busy Week

This is such a busy week with food so I find myself challenged.  I am carefully writing in my WW food journal notes about how I can plan for the big weekend.  We're leaving on Friday for Sequim, which is about 3 hours away.  We'll stay Friday night, all of Saturday for DH's uncle's funeral, and come back whenever we feel like it on Sunday.  The whole family will be there so there will be a lot of eating out.  Here's my thoughts:
 
  • At each restaurant order something on the menu that is more like a "filling food" like chicken or fish.
  • Eat what I think is a reasonable portion and bag the rest.
  • Chew lots of gum in between meals
  • Drink lots of water
Any other ideas?  I also went out to eat at Red Robin yesterday with a friend.  My mind has been in a slight panic because of all the opportunities to binge.  I am proud that I just ate one grilled chicken breast and a small side salad with a little bit of Asian dressing.  The was the healthiest dressing they had to offer and I have to say it was extremely good!
 
Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention that I lost 2.8 pounds this week.  That makes up for last week's stupid unexpected gain.

I think you have a great plan.  Just remember to keep your goals in mind.  Keep them close and the healthy decisions are that much easier!

That sounds like a good plan to me. I would also suggest trying not to think about the food too much, that will only make you want it more (does that make sense?).
