Week 1 Results

It's the end of week 1 and so far I am winning by a landslide against my husband.  Thank you PMS!!!!!  I lost 6.4 pounds.  My old WW meeting leader would have said, "Now, how many of those pounds were fat?" and I would have said, "No more than 2!" and she would have said, "Good girl."

PMS hit me hard last Monday so my first time stepping on the scale I was very bloated.  Even so, I lost 2% more of my body weight than DH (I get to use that now!) so WOOHOO!!!  Kindle, here I come!

I have been very good with food this past week.  We only exercised 3 days because there were some real scorching hot days for us Washingtonians and not many people here have AC because it's usually cool and rainy.  If we worked out we'd run a serious risk of heat stroke, so it seemed like a fair excuse.

We took a friend to the Space Needle's Sky City restaurant, which is very expensive and fancy.  We all got fish and the nice thing about fancy restaurants is they keep your portions reasonable, even if it does cost several hundred $$$.  Then we went home and had Jello shots.  Best alcoholic drink on a diet for sure!  They taste great, too!

Speaking of Jello shots, there is a really funny diet book I want to recommend to anyone who might be interested.  It's called How to Eat Like a Hot Chick by Jodi Lipper and Cerina Vincent.  I would say that I agree with most of what they say.  It's a diet book, but it's not a diet plan.  It's just basic eating ideas and suggestions and I think it is a fun read for women who are on non-extreme, reasonable diets.  It's short and sweet.  Unlike this post. :p

LOVE IT!

I love that you kicked your hubby's butt!  Keep up the great work.

Go girl!!

Good for you!! It's good to kick DH's butt, huh?? :) And you are right, it's kind of hard to get used to having a hubby and not a bf/fiancé :)

Sounds like you are off to a very good start, that's a major loss. And even if it´s not all fat, it's a good number to see, right :)

Big hugs to you!

Way to go!

I think it's great that you are doing so well.  6.4 pounds is awesome.  I might have to check that book out.  Thanks for the recommendation.

Awesome WI!!!

Dang woman!!  6.4 lbs!!!  That's awesome!!  I hope I can have a weight loss like that soon!!  Keep up the awesome work!

Wow!

6.4 lbs is awesome! I wish my husband would try to get healthier - he talks about it a lot but rummages in the fridge for something sweet every evening! Congratulations on your wedding! I saw one of the slideshows and you like gorgeous - and the setting looks great as well! All the best for a very happy married life!

WooHoo!!!

That is awesome, congrats!!!!  Also thank you for the book recommendation, I read a little inside of it at Amazon and it looks funny!!!  I will be getting it soon.

hahaha

Go you!  I'm glad you kicked Mike's butt last week.  Puts a little pressure off for this week.  I've been out of town for the last week and mostly out of touch, but back this week (although still out of town) and then out of country for the next two weeks after that... but sending you lots of virtual good luck with your new exercise and eating plan and hope you're doing well!!
