Happy Hump Day!!! Happy belated St. Patrick's Day, too! I am proud to say I had an AWESOME week last week and lost 2.4 pounds as of today! I used Saturday as my one "cheat" day and ended up with 10 flex points left by Monday, so I never went off-plan. I got all my stickers for the week, too. I'm aiming for the same this week.
I could use some help, though. We are having 2 Easter dinners this weekend! Saturday for my parents and Sunday for his. Anyone have some good suggestions? I think I should get some gum to chew on so I don't snack. I always drink wine at Mike's parents' house for some reason so maybe I can cut that. Alcohol makes me think it's ok to eat whatever I want.
We are also helping Mike's friend move on Saturday afternoon. He's buying us all pizza. To support me in my struggles, Mike suggested we be good together. Isn't that sweet? I am thinking of packing a sack lunch, too. I'm really good at resisting the pizza. How do I know? Mike has been getting it almost every week lately. He gets the 3 Pizza Mia pizzas for cheap from Pizza Hut so it's in the fridge all week and I have to smell it. Today he brought home a different box with yet another pizza to put in the fridge from work.
Oh, speaking of the love of my life, turns out his heart issues were acid reflux. That is so much better than I was thinking about. I was worried it could be life-threatening. They prescribed him a pill and he's feeling much better now. He can also exercise! He mentioned his intentions to begin eating healthier, too.
Way to go on that -2.4!! Sweetness! You deserve it, definitely. You know if you keep up these losses, you're going to have to post your real weight on the blog too, ya know =) Anywho, about Easter, I think you have a couple good ideas already on the table.
1. Make a plan for yourself. Not something overly restrictive where you can't have fun, but how about say you will have no more than 1 glass of wine or no more than 2 halves of various desserts.
2. Engage Mike. Even if he's not going to follow the same plan as you, he can help and encourage you to stick to your plan. I wish i felt comfortable enough with B to tell him about the whole weight loss thing, but I haven't brought up the subject yet.
3. Pizza. Let yourself have one or two slices. Sometimes I'll cut the second slice in half and then only have the second half if I really still am hungry. And why not go for a veggie slice rather than the double cheese meat one. Eat less at another meal that day. Bring a salad to eat on the side with the pizza. I'm sure everyone else will thank you for it too!
I'm glad to hear Mike's heart issues weren't serious! Great news!
May be the pizza consumption!!! I get really bad acid reflux when I eat pizza too. The tomato sauce is a little acidic and the bread swells up in your tummy...try telling him to pull the topping off and eat only that. Or try skipping the pizza for a few days... He may feel tons better.
