Before After

Meh

I gained and I deserve it.  I'll bet that cake caught up with me, plus the weekend didn't go so well.  I had a great week but since Monday was Veteran's Day and my whole family had the day off, we went out to lunch and I ate some things I probably shouldn't have!  I know that if I exercised there would be some serious damage-control.  That is something I need to commit to.  If I don't commit to it now then I need to at least think about it for winter break.  That will be a good 2-week jump start.  I've been getting into the habit of getting home from work and watching Oprah instead of exercising.  I can still watch Oprah and exercise at 5pm.  Mike doesn't even get home until 6 so I have no excuses.

Goals for this week:

  • Drink 64 oz. of water 5-6 days a week
  • Watch what I eat and really ask myself if I'm hungry before digging in the cupboard for a snack
  • No more than 1 grilled cheese sandwich (2 points!) a day
  • No more than 1 ice cream (2 points!) a day
  • Eat one apple and 2 yogurts each day
  • Take a deep breath and drink some water when I'm having a craving
  • Take 2 comfy baths to relax
  • Work really really hard to stay on plan this week even though it's the BlueNile winter formal on Saturday

Ok, it's a lot of goals but they're fairly achievable if I put my mind to it.  I haven't been relaxing enough and my job is really getting to me.  I've been using my stress as an excuse to go off-plan.  I think to myself, "I hate my life so I'll just eat myself to death."  Something like that.

Anyway, I'll go check up on you guys later.  Gotta get back to work.

Exercise after work

If I have a LEAST favorite time to exercise, it's after work.  If I don't get it done as part of my wake-up routine, it doesn't get done at all.  Kudos to you if you're able to workout consistently from 5 to 6 - I know I can't!

Indeed, those are very achievable goals.  You can do it!

Angel

good luck!

hey leanne--
sorry to hear that work has become a bear.  :(  this would be a good time to prove to yourself that even though there will be stressful times, we do not have to make it an excuse to overconsume.  you can do it!  i think your goals are reasonable and you're right, it's all about how much you really want it / how much you decide to adhere to them.  i've had to take a fresh look at those questions recently!

i am curious as to what type of grilled cheese sandwich you're having that is only 2 pts... oh, and i am right there with you on the ice cream... but we've been through this before.  actually, i'm on a bit of an ice cream probation currently because i cannot control myself around the stuff.  stressed or not, doesn't seem to make a bit of a diff.

Hey!

Hey!  what is the formal you're going to??? Did I miss something???  I totally know what you mean by getting in that mode of thinking of eating yourself to death.  it feels so good, but so bad.  lol.

Hey Gorgeous!

I am fine!  I am losing weight like crazy which is awesome.  I still have that damn pain.  It pisses me off!  Are you married yet?  What's up?  I see

you are doing well!  ON YOUR WAY DOWN! WHOO-HOO!!

Love, Jen

Goals

Those are great goals.  And yes, 7 in 7 is Seven Goals in Seven Weeks.

And, tell me, what do you hate so much about your life?  So, I know you don't like your job right now.  But what else is THAT bad?  Seriously.  I mean, I don't know.  I only know what you post here.  But it sounds to me with you being recently engaged, that life should be great.  I might be wrong.  Let's look at it though.  You are miserable when you gain weight, right?  So that adds one more thing in your life that you don't like.  So, does the food really solve anything.

I gained this week, too and I'm about to post on it.  But I just hate to see you so down.  I'm really glad you came up with those positive goals.  You can do it!

Meals

So there is no specifics with the meal plan that Iam on. I am at an average of 1000 to 1200 cal /day and 40grams of carbs/day. I am trying to ensure that my protien intake is still high. So for example here is an average day on my diet.

100oz of H20//day

eat every 2-3 hours (yippy)

Breakfast-Protien shake or Egg Beaters (1cup) with half cup of veggies.

Snack-3egg whites or string cheese or yogurt or tuna(only 1)

Lunch-Salad with 3oz of protien

Snack- same as above

Dinner- 5oz meat, unlimited salad greens, 1cup of vegtables

I did 3 days of only shakes and a resonable meal for dinner. So that was tough. This is working and getting me over the plateau I could not break. Have you heard from Alexia? I miss her tooo!
