I called The Firm people again today. I got a different story, but I believe this one! The guy this time was not a rude little bitch like the last lady so I guess I trust him more. Turns out my package has been on backorder most of the month and that they just sent it out yesterday!!! It is supposed to get here the day before I move. Grand.
For all you ladies interested in The Firm, DO NOT order it directly from the company! They never told me it was on backorder or that it would take a full month to get here. I feel like such a dumbass because I didn't even think about going to Amazon.com or Target or Wal-Mart or whoever else may carry the product. It's probably cheaper at those places.
Mike's best friend is staying with us for a while. He's in the process of moving back to the US after being in Europe for years in the US special forces. This is going to be a HUGEchallenge with food. It doesn't sound like they are going to buy him groceries and we sure don't have any real food here, so every meal is going to be out at restaurants. My plan is to ask them to leave me at home during mealtimes, except for maybe once this week so I can have my weekly splurge on something good.
First I want to say a huge congrats on the weight loss!!!!!
Let me know how you like the firm once you get it. I am still doing my WATP tapes but would like to someday add in like the firm 2 or 3 times per week for a boost. They will probably be to hard for me but I would love to try.. :-)
Great idea, not going with them except once per week for your splurge meal. I would probably do the same thing..lol
I wish you had asked me about the Firm. I could have told you how bad their customer service is. I hope you get your order soon, and next time, go to Target, Walmart or order from Amazon--or even eBay! Avoid Gaiam and particularly the Firm like the plague. They are rubbish at customer service. If their workouts weren't so completely awesome, they'd have gone out of business years ago.
I'm sorry that you're having such a bad time with The Firm. Isn't it annoying when you aren't aware what's going on with stuff like that? Tha'ts happened to me a few times when I've ordered things that are on backorder. Even if they let you know it's on backorder...once, I ordered something for Dave for Christmas, and they told me they were on backorder and they weren't going to hold the requests they couldn't ship. I got a package in the mail five months later, and I couldn't figure out where that extra $200 in my checking account went.
I'm going to be working at a charter school for my student teaching internships. The placement professor at BSU seems to be kind of a jerk, so I need to get my advisor/methods teacher to help me out with it. I've worked pretty hared to get extra things on my resume-I'm taking 9 teachers' graduate courses this summer through the Boise State Writing Project (Part of the National Writing Project), I am going to work as an intern in BSU's writing center (it's a writing worshop and tutoring center), since I have decided to just charge full steam ahead and get my bachelor's degree minus all the minor endorsements that I am close to getting, (I will work on those a class at a time or so in the future...9 credits away from K-12 reading, 9 credits away from K-12 History/Social studies, 9 credits away from a biology minor...etc.). I decided that I need to be really "decorated" on my resume. LOL I have also heard that the "trend" for fall 2008 will be that many, many English teachers will be retiring in the Boise School District (the one that I live in) and in the Meridian School District (the one that is second closest to where I live), in addition to two or three junior highs and high schools that will be opening brand new in our valley that year. I should be good...hopefully....
What is the Firm? I am clueless about a lot of stuff so forgive me for the question if it sounds stupid. Good job on dropping the lbs! You are an inspiration and I can't wait to get closer to my goal also. I just signed up a couple of new people to participate in a weight loss challenge at work soI have new people to motivate me again. They think I can't keep losing weight but that is just another reason for me to stay motivated. Keep up your good work and stay at your goal weight!
I'm glad I ordered mine from Amazon.com. It really got here fast. Sorry, that's just mean to remind you, I guess. I hope yours comes soon. I think you're going to love it.
