Before After

Monday

Happy Monday!  Things are getting better these days.  I slept most of the weekend away and cancelled all plans.  I am functional today but the cold is still there.  As long as I can function at work that's the important part.  WASL testing continues tomorrow and I have to be there to proctor it for the next 3 days.

My mom is doing better.  They didn't solve the problem because they couldn't find it but she is at home and has the week off.

My engagement ring fits just fine and I've been wearing it for 3 days now.  No problems!  I must have been unusually poofy on Friday.

I'm currently applying for jobs in the cities near me because I'm sick of driving an hour to work.  We were supposed to move way north of here but we may just end up moving within 10 miles now.  I still want to be a Read Right teacher so I am hoping I might be able to land a job in a nearby district that has the program.  If it happens I could end up being a high school teacher.  The horrors!  I look like a high-schooler so that would be interesting.

High school teacher

I thought your comment about looking like a high school kid was funny.  I have a really good friend who will be doing her student teaching in the fall, and she's worried about it because in her other semesters of in-classroom experience, she's had students who have crushes on her!  She said she'd love to wait for ten years and come back to do the student teaching because now she's only 4 years older than the kids she's teaching.

Hugs!

Sending you lots of hugs and positive vibes your way. I'm sorry the women in your family are sick! Glad your mom is better, though! Sorry you are going through some tough times. I  hope you feel better soon.

Job hunting....

Oh, it sucks!  I just hate change.  But good luck and I know you will find something!  I'm so glad the ring fits.

Glad all is well

It's good to hear that things are working out for you.  I hope your mom gets better.  She needs to be in top form for your wedding!

Have a wonderful day!

well

on the bright side...

you can use your work ID to get student discounts at theatres, themeparks etc...(they never read the fine print anyway)

Good Luck on the job hunt...

I think I have a lot of reading to do. I hope your mom turns out ok. I like Brats idea of student discounts. It might work.

Job Hunt

Good luck with your job hunting!  I do have to agree you still look like a high schooler!  But that's not such a bad thing!

I actually got to walk today!  I feel soooo much better.  It sounds like you are doing better too.  I'm glad.

I totally understand...

Whenever I'm at my work, students mistake me for a student.  Of course I could do more to look less like them :-p  I'm glad your family is feeling a little better.  Good luck with your job search!

I feel you!

I've been teaching middle school for five years and I still get mistaken for a student!  At least we know we look young!

Highschool

Oh my goodness! I remember those years! I agree with you the horrors! One of my sister's friends is a high school teacher and she always talks about how bad she feels for giving crap when she was in high school. I hope you do find a job that is closer by that is a horrible drive. Crossing my fingers everything goes well.

Im glad to hear you are feeling better, and that your mom is getting better as well! Hopefully you are having a wonderful Wednesday and everything is going well!

Congrates

on your engagement!!
