Last night I tried to cut my finger off. Just kidding. I was in the middle of checking up on all of you when I thought I would nuke a potato. I got out my trusty steak knife and began poking holes in it. Next thing you know I got a big gash in the fingertip of my left index finger. Mike thought I might need stitches but I stated that I would do anything to not have to go to the emergency room and get them. I hate needles and have never had stitches. We called the nurse hotline and got some good info and took care of it at home, but it never stopped bleeding completely because it's deep. This morning the blood soaked through two band-aids. I haven't checked on it since I saw the school nurse this morning but the bleeding has reduced. The nurse said it looked really good and that the gash closed up nicely.
Anyhow that's why I haven't gotten around to you, my friends. I have just enough time to post this before I have to make a second 2-hour commute for today. There's a condo we are going to check out. On top of it all it's TOM so I am overwhelmed and stressing big-time with all this business.

Ouch!
That must have hurt. Glad you didn't get an infection or anything. We totally understand that you couldn't get to us. I'm sure it's awkward to type now.
A blackout is a period of dates where we don't have access to Disney World. We can't go during Easter week, 2 months in the summer, and Christmas week. We have the annual seasonal tickets. We could go all year around for more money but we don't like to go when it's crowded or too hot. So it makes sense to have the blackout.
Hope you enjoy looking at the condo. It's nice to look for a new place to live and start new. :)
I'm glad you still have all of your fingers. LOL! Isn't it funny how we do stuff like that? Then I always stop and think, how the heck did that happen? As I'm bleeding everywhere. Usually, it's me trying to be in a hurry. As always!
We understand why you can't check on us. It's probably pretty hard to type. I hope it gets better.
I have just now got to do some catching up and saw you are engaged!!! I am so happy for you!!! And what an awesome story about Disneyland, I have never been there so it was really exciting to read about. I don't blame you a bit for not worrying about what you ate, there are times like that you really just need to enjoy life, 1 week never killed anyone.. :-)
I am so sorry to hear that you cut your finger those kind of cuts make me mad at myself .I will be walking around the house calling myself stupid about cutting my finger .Haha
On The Other Hand I am so excited & happy for you to hear that you got engaged .That is wonderful as long as that is what you want.
Keep up the good work maybe Mike should take away sharp objects from you .
Sorry about the finger. I've been there. . . and it hurts.
Thanks for the encouragement. I figured from going yesterday after my aderenaline high from exercising to a major low last night that I needed to cut out the exercise. I probably shouldn't have exercised yesterday. These darned allergies. . they always get me.
I usually poke my potatoes with a fork! My daughter cut her fingertip off when she was about 4...she somehow got ahold of a grapefruit knife! We thought about stitches, but decided against it. It all healed up just fine. I had the entire tip of my left thumb cut off...it was just hanging by the cuticle. Long, gory story...I was also pregnant at the time. It got sewn back on and I have most of my feeling back, but its a little deformed! Probably only noticeable to me, though! LOL
Anyway, stay away from that trusty knife! Hope its feeling better now..
Ok, now on to the post about your maid of honor....
