Thank you so much for all of your comments! I am so excited! We are setting the date for mid-July 2008. I know it's a long time but we have many reasons for choosing to wait a little.
First we want to have a wedding anniversary when I am in the middle of a school vacation. Summer was best because I will be on summer break no matter what. Then if we want to celebrate Mike can just take a day off work or we can intermix summer vacation traveling with our wedding anniversary, etc.
It would also be nice to be able to reserve a venue we really like and have time to save up money for the event and the honeymoon. Etc etc blah blah blah.
Anyway, on to the rest of the trip:
Tuesday was the first day at the park and the day Mike proposed. We went back to the park after the proposal and went on the Indiana Jones ride. We wanted to see the fireworks but they cancelled the show due to wind. We did end up going to the confectionary and getting some good fudge, though.
That night I had a major blister on the pad of my left foot. The next day it was feeling better but didn't take long before the pain returned. We spent half the day in Caliornia Adventure walking around. To be honest, it's not nearly as cool as we were expecting. The only interesting ride we could manage to get on was California Screamin'. The water ride was an 80 minute wait or you could Fast Pass it for after 7pm! Nuts. We went on California Screamin' twice and it was definitely my favorite.
We were really tired by the late afternoon and hung out at the hotel until around 7:15 when we went to Midieval Times. Mike made reservations for us as a surprise! It was so cool to watch the show. Everyone gets to represent a Knight of the Round based on the color of cardboard hat you wear on your head. We were red but the red knight wasn't that great. lol The show still was really awesome. Free beer!
The next morning we checked into the park an hour earlier than they normally open in hopes of beating the crowd. Didn't happen, there were a billion people already there at 7am. Most of the good rides weren't open yet so we crammed into the 45 minute line for Space Mountain. They changed it so you get to hear Red Hot Chili Peppers music and watch a light show while you're on the rollercoaster. Apparently that's not the norm for that ride. It was my first time.
Then we went on Pirates of the Carribean and the line took maybe 2 minutes to get through! They extended the ride and incorporated Johnny Depp's "Jack Sparrow" character 3 times which was really cool. It was better than I remembered as a kid.
Then we spent the last 12 hours of the day flying back to Utah and then back to Washington.
Great trip overall. Notice I didn't mention a lot about food? That's because neither of us watched what we ate the whole time. I look forward to stepping on the scale at WW next Monday. It's going to be scary. It's already terrifying to see on my home scale, so terrifying that I won't even admit to you what the gain has been. Plus some of it may come off over the course of this week.

P.S. I am sorry I haven't gotten around to saying hi to many of you. I got 4 hours of sleep last night. I don't even know how I wrote this post. I will try to drop in on all of you tomorrow! For now it's sleepy-time.

CONGRATULATIONS!
Fantastic news! It really IS "The Happiest Place On Earth!"
You've made some great memories, blisters and all.
Many blessings in this next, exciting stage of life!
Wow I felt like I was with you at Disney when you talked about the rides. We go on the Pirates of the Caribbean all the time. We can't go to Disney until April 13th since it's blackout right now for us. It's too crowded to go there now as well with easter vacations.
You'll be able to get back on track with your weight loss. I know how difficult it can be not to eat all the good food on vacation. I am going on vacation for 12 days next wednesday and I'm worried about gaining back all I worked for. I just have to try my best and not fret over it too much.
Congratulations on your fab news! so a double celebration this year, an engagement and your amazing weight loss! You are going to be a gorgeous bride and will have such a great time shopping for that perfect dress. I'm really happy for you, you deserve to be happy!
I'm still so excited for you and thanks for sharing the whole story! Sometimes it is nice to have a time when you can let go of thinking of what you're eating and not feel guilty about it one bit. That is called the appreciating eating for the pleasure of eating; I have full confidence you will get those pounds off now that you're back and not on vacation anymore. I had to laugh when I read you are looking forward to your WW meeting! Until next time, hope you get lots of rest and congratulations (again)!!!
a vacation like this *is* a once-in-a-lifetime thing me thinks, so you earned a little splurging!! You'll work off any gain that you had in no time flat!!

Hey, long time no blog-chat! Hope you're okay! Congratulations on your news.. you must be very excited! I know I would be! And how amazing that you've reached your target weight so you know you're going to look doubly as amazing! The ring is beautiful also.. make sure you flash it round lots ! I'm doing terribly at the moment.. I have put on so much weight recently it's awful and I'm becoming exceedingly uncomfortable and have to buy bigger clothes and just feel bigger and can't run around as much anymore! I did well today I think... just need to keep going knowing that results aren't instant and that I need to be patient and work hard... after all you're living proof that the hard work pays off! Well done for being such an inspiration and congratulations again on your amazing news! x x x x
