Before After

Hey everyone!

I'm so sorry I have been missing in action lately. I've been so busy lately and less time on the computer as well. You all were still in my thoughts the whole time. I got several good news to tell you.

First of all, I bought a new car yesterday! My husband and  I have been debating for the last 2 weeks on whether to buy a car or not. We did a lot of research on what kind of car we want and to find the best deal. We heard a lot of good things about Carmax, so we decided to check it out. It turns out that Carmax was mighty expensive for us and I wasn't happy about their offer to trade in my car plus the interest on the payment was way too high. So we left. We kept searching online all weekend and I was reading an article on Edmunds about minivans. We wanted a minivan but not one of those big loader ones like Honda and Toyota. We were looking at something cute like Mazda MVP and Hyundai Santa Fe. But we couldn't find them in our price and milage range at the same time. Then I came upon this article on minivans. I found out that a Mazda 5 was a minivan. I checked it out and it didn't look like a minivan to me but it was! We found the price and mileage range we wanted and Toyota gave us a better offer on my car to trade in with lower interests on payments than Carmax! We were shocked that carmax actually tried to ripped us off. It really paid to do your research before buying a car. So we're soo excited to have a new car now.

My weight is finally going down. All that running and weight lifting I did last week really works! Before I was only just running on the treadmill, but last Wednesday I decided to test the theory on weightlifting before doing cardio exercises. I was sure that I was gonna be too tired to do carido exercise after weightlifting. I did weightlifting for a good 30 minutes before I hopped on the treadmill. To my surprise, I felt more energy after weightlifting and I even ran longer than 15 minutes! I also ran about 1 1/2 miles. I never checked to see how many distance I could run and I thought it was less than a mile but to my surprise it was more! I felt really good after working out and then my scale finally started moving after TOM decided to come. I'm definitely going to do this again when I go back to the Y on Thursday. I could have gone today but I am sooo behind on laundry and housework from car shopping all weekend.

Last Saturday, I got a break from my 2 years old for 8 hours! I never had that much a break in a long time. My friend watched her all day while I get to go out with my friends to Bahama Breeze for an early lunch and then we hang out at Barnes and Noble cafe chatting. Afterwards, we went to the movie to see the Pirates. To our disappointment, it wasn't as good as we thought it would be. Then I had to go pick up my daughter. It was just sooo nice to be myself for a few hours and step out of the mommy role. I'm really grateful to my friend for watching her that long. It's very hard for me to find people to watch my daughter because we don't have any family living in Florida. They're all up in NY, NJ, and PA.

Wow sorry I am blabbing too much but I guess that what's happen when you're away from your blog too long. I do have a bit of bad news. I was on the phone with my mom telling her about the new car and she told me my grandmother had a heart attack last Friday night and congestive heart failure with pneumonia. She also have a tumor in her liver. Things are not really looking good for her right now. I could tell my mom is really upset about it plus she is moving out of her house now at the same time. She has to have everything out by June 26th which is tomorrow. She also doesn't feel well since she got the virus. It's a bad time up there with family now. Sometimes it's really hard to be far away when there's not much you can do to help.

Well I am going to check on you all and see if you all are getting skinner than me now!

Blah

I'm feeling kinda blah lately and I believe it's because TOM is on the way. I'm so tired. I went to the Y yesterday but did only 8 minutes of running and then I went to the elliptical machine for 10 minutes and then weight lift for 25 minutes. I was bored working out and felt like just weight lifting. It's better than nothing.

Since there are no new tv shows over the summer, I decided that I will use a lot of my free time by trying to organize my apartment and get rid of things that are just cluttering up the closet. It's like I'm going to be doing "summer cleaning" instead of spring cleaning. I have plenty of time on my hands right now and it's the perfect opportunity to do so.

I hope everyone is doing well with their workouts and continue losing weight while I'm back at the same weight again. Ugh, so frustrating.

Friday

My daughter has been teething since Wednesday morning and teething means colds. So I couldn't go to the Y today for my running. They wouldn't let a child in daycare if they're sick with a cold which I agreed because I don't want my child getting sick with a cold from another child that should be home resting. But my husband promised me this morning that he would watch Alyssa when he gets home from work and let me run at the fitness center at my apartment complex. I hope he keeps his word. I really need to run and burn off those high fat food I had for my birthday.

I pooped 3 times yesterday and I gained weight? I don't understand my body when it does that. But I will continue to keep doing what I do. I feel much better now that the heartburn is gone and I'm back to my normal eating plans.

Hope everyone have a "skinny" weekend. Ha yea right!

Cheesecake Factory + Friendly's = Heartburn

I didn't sleep well at all last night. I ordered some orange chicken at the TCF and yes, those chicken are deep-fried. I think what the heck, it's my birthday, I'm in the mood for chinese food. I only ate 5 pieces of chicken out of 15 and alittle bit of rice. I couldn't finish it. I was soo full and it's like my stomach couldn't handle it anymore. So I stopped and box the food to bring home. It's going in the garbage today. I had heartburn from that chicken all night and I had to sit up a few times to get the acid to go down. Lesson learned! No more fried food!

I had a 3 scoops Reese Peanut Butter Cup sundae and ate it all. I only have this once a year on my birthday and it was really good but I think with the peanut butter and chocolate plus the chicken made the heartburn worse. I only gained a lb from yesterday, so not so terrible. It will be gone by Friday when I go to the Y and burn it off by running on the treadmill.

I actually appericate my body more. I appericate it for telling me that this stuff is no good for me and lets me know what it wants or what it doesn't want. I've learned to listen to my body now and recognize the signs that could be affecting my health. Heartburn is not a good sign at all and I rarely ever get them.

So today is water, water, water, water, all day!  Back to healthy eating and put away all the birthday junkies. Chicken and cookie cake are going in the garbage today. 2 days of unhealthy eating is enough for me. No more!

Now I gotta go and change my daughter's diaper since she is stinking up a storm here.

Later Epers!

Pictures Updated!

I have updated Album Alyssa and Sarasota. I added a new album of my 28th birthday!

Thank You!

Thank you all so much for the nice birthday wishes you left me yesterday. It truly made my day!

I had a really nice birthday yesterday with my friend and 5 crazy kids and a babysitter. We decided to go to a park in Apopka, Florida where they have natural spring water you could go swimming in. But when we got there, the weather got stormy and we couldn't go swimming. So we were sitting in my friend's big red van at a gas station trying to figure out what to do with 5 kids! While we were figuring things out, the kids kept going in and out of the van to the store to buy junk food and drinks. I got myself a small York candy.

We decided to head to the mall because they have an indoor playground for the kids. I just wanted to be able to sit and chat with my friend without the kids hanging on us. The only bad thing about the playground was it was next to a Kay-Bee Store. There were so many times when we saw one of the kids coming running out of the store with a toy and we had to tell them to put it back in the store. Kids are so fast and they can disappear in the store quickly.

We decided to go up to the food court to eat our picnic lunch we brought with us for the park. The kids and my friend and I  were a bit hyper from the sugar we ate at the gas station. My friend's 4 years old son was the only boy in the whole group of 7 girls. He was hopping along the bench when he came up to his mom who was sitting in a regular chair eating her lunch. He told his mom to look at the back of his pants and she asked him what am I looking for? He said I farted! and took off. We were laughing sooo hard til our belly hurts. What can you expect from a boy?

We were waiting for a long time for the babysitter to come back from her shopping. We didn't know that she planned to surprise me with a cookie cake from Great American Cookies Co. She bought a candle with number 28 on it. I had a 2 slices of it. It was sooooo good!

As we were leaving, the 3 oldest kids were running up the escalator. We were so embarrassed by them and trying to get them to stop. The 4 years old boy, Zach, was holding on to the top of the stair and it was dragging his body. I quickly tried to pick him up thinking he would be hurt. He was laughing and turned out just fine. There was a security guard nearby and my friend winked at him to come by and yelled at the kids. The kids sure were afraid of him and stop playing on the escalator and then the guard walked away laughing.

Then we got in the van and my friend had to pee really bad. So she pulled up in front of the mall and ran in with 2 kids to go to the bathroom. I was trying to buckle in one of the toddlers because she figured out how to unbuckle herself. Next thing I know, the oldest girl, Hannah, tapped on my shoulders and told there is a cop outside of our van. The van windows were tinted with shades and it's hard to see inside, so he was standing sideways with his hands on his gun. I rolled the window down and popped my head out and said Hi! The guard asked if everything is okay, I  told him yep, just waiting for a friend who had to go to the bathroom. He said we can't block a delivery driveway and asked if I could pull up. By then, he figured out I was deaf and he asked me "Can you drive?" I told him yes I can drive. My friend had her driver's seat all the way up to the dashboard that I looked like a complete idiot to the cop trying to get my feet down from the dashboard to the gas pedals. After I drove up a couple of feet, he drove away and parked on top of the hill to watch us until we leave.

After my friend got back from the bathroom, a box of gold fish fell all over the van's floor and the kids picked up a handful of goldfish and shoved it in their mouth. I started laughing and told my friend that her kids look like animals. She said they are animals!

We drove back to my apartment and the kids went swimming in the pool and my daughter Alyssa and her best friend took a bath together. I was soooo exhausted after they left. It was one crazy birthday I had with 5 kids and a babysitter.

I'm so happy to report that I made it to 139.5 today! Another great birthday gift for me. I hope I stay in the 130's for now on. That running I had to do last monday was totally worth it! I'm staying home today instead of going to the Y because I have tons of laundry to catch up on and my daughter is going to Disney tonight with her babysitter. So she'll need her rest for that and my hubby and I are going out to dinner ALONE! We;re going to the Cheesecake Factory. I will be going to the Bahama Breeze on the 23rd of June with a bunch of friends for my belated birthday. We couldn't do much last weekend because I couldn't find a babysitter to watch Alyssa and next weekend is Father's Day weekend. So I'm looking forward to going out to eat with friends without any distraction from my daughter. I rarely get much of a break from her, so I take advantage of it when I can.

I hope everyone have a great day and the pounds are disappearing!

I was born at 2am. Yep, it's my birthday today! I'm not doing much today since my hubby has to work late today but we do have a date out for tomorrow night. I'm so look forward to having a break from my daughter and spend some alone time with my hubby.

I ran on the treadmill yesterday and it was a struggle to get my 15 minutes done but I did it. There are some days when my  body doesn't want to run and some days when it just want to keep going. Yesterday it didn't want to run.

Other than that, I'm feeling good and keep trying to get into the 130's again. I'm only 140 and still stuck there. I'm like MOVE DOWN! So I'm hoping this week I will get there. That is if I don't eat too much dessert for my birthday ha!
