Before After

Exhausted!

One thing I learned as a Disney seasonal passholder is to never go to Disney the day before you go to work unless there is a special reason to do so like last night Christmas party. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party event was sold out last night and boy it was crowded. We thought it wouldn't be as crowded because you have to pay admission plus an extra 35 dollars to be able to attend the party at Magic Kingdom. If you don't, you have to leave the park at 7pm.

They gave out free hot chocolate, apple juice, apples and cookies around the park which was nice, but I took 2 bites of their sugar cookie and it wasn't that good. Even my daughter didn't like it and rather eat the apples! The hot chocolate was good and it got cold in Florida! It went down to 47 degrees and I felt sorry for the people who were still wearing shorts and tshirts. Maybe 47 degrees was warm for the northerns, but it was really cold for us Floridians!

Their Christmas Twas show was the same but packed! Then they had Christmas parade. The parade was very different than their everyday parade. They had all different kinds of scents from their floats like pine tree, candy cane, and the gingerbread house (that one got me hungry!). It was all very pretty and we had a great time watching the parade.

Afterwards, they had the fireworks and their usual show on stage in front of the castle. They also had Belle's Enchanted show at 11:15pm, but we were so cold and tired that we left after the fireworks.

This was the first time I attended one of Disney's party and with the extra money you have to pay for to get in, the only thing different was the parade and free food. I don't think it's worth the extra money and I was disappointed because I thought there would be more to it than that.

While at Disney, for some reasons, I got some bad cramping in my stomach. It would come and go throughout the night but this morning it was bad. I'm not sure why butI'm hoping it will go away soon.

My husband's pedometer logged in over 9,000 steps last night. It was not as much as it was on Saturday. MK is a smaller park than Epcot.

My weigh in this morning was the same and I got my workout from all the walking last night. Other than the cramping, I feel great!

Positive Attitude Quote: Be a Do-er Not a Critic

A non-doer is very often a critic-that is, someone who sits back and watches doers, and then waxes philosophically about how the doers are doing. It's easy to be a critic, but being a doer requires effort, risk, and change.

Busted! 5 Major Eating Mistakes

Why It's Okay to Eat That Cookie

No YMCA today, but I do have Disney tonight.

While I was posting yesterday about YMCA, I forgot that I am going to Disney tonight to Mickey's Merry Christmas Party. My husband felt that putting my daughter in daycare and then playing with her friend all day including Disney at night would be too much for her. The party continues well into midnight but we're not staying there that late. We are leaving later than my daughter's bedtime, so my hubby want her well and rested for the party.

So YMCA will have to wait until Thursday. I will find some other ways to exercise around the house plus I will get my walking tonight at Disney. Disney is a great place to exercise if you avoid all their tempting foods.

I'm back to 139.5 today and thanks to Precious for her water tip. She told me how chugging down water can really help move the scale down. It worked! Thanks Precious! I'll be doing the same today.  She also met her goal weight yesterday which I think is awesome!

I got my Title Nine catalog the other day and I love the sweater they displayed on the front page.

But it cost $109. That's way out of my budget. But I'm keeping my fingers cross that it will go on sale near the springtime.

I'm Stuck!

My weight has been the same all weekend and I'm frustrated that it's not moving down as I thought it would be. I did so much walking and ate the right food but it still won't budge. At least I didn't gain and I'm thankful for that. I've been thinking of different ways how to get the scale to move down and I think one of the reasons is not enough water. So I'm working on that this morning already.

I stay home most of the day  yesterday with hubby and DD. We went food shopping and exchanged a desk at Ikea for the 4th time. Hubby and I are having a bit of disagreement on computer desks.

I decided that I am going to return to the YMCA tomorrow and it's time for me to get back to the gym. I'm going to work on weights and the elliptical machine. I've done enough walking that I don't need to walk any farther on the treadmill. I need a change of routine. I found a neat article on elliptical machine and thought to share it with you all.

Why Use an Elliptical Trainer?

I also found this article that I totally agreed with. I hope that the FDA will be more strict with salt like they were with trans fat.

FDA mulls stricter regulation of salt in food.

Hope you all start the day with some skinny vibes and I'm going to check on you all now.

Walk, Walk, Walk!

My husband ordered a pedometer for Christmas and he got it yesterday at the office. He was really excited about and put it on to use it when we went walking to the YMCA. After we walked, we decided to play some basketball and practice our shooting. It was a good workout for us and some time alone without my daughter.

We started getting hungry and went out for lunch. My husband wanted to go out today, so I didn't make anything at home. I was careful with my choice of food. I ordered an egg and cheese sandwich on whole wheat bagel. After I ate that, I finally noticed they had a small sign that they have low fat cheese. Arrgghh! I could have ordered that instead of the regular American cheese. Now I know next time they have it.

We went home to let my daughter take her nap while I knit and watch football game with my husband. Then we went to TGIF for dinner because we have a coupon for that place. My husband is big on coupons and love to save money. I like TFIG because they have the right portion with 500 calories and 10g of fat. Not bad. I ordered the pecan crusted chicken. It was really good.

Afterwards we head to Disney and I always ask my husband to stop at a store to split our "dessert" before we go to Disney. That dessert is a york mint candy and I feel less tempted if I have a small piece of chocolate with some peppermint in my belly because at Disney, their food is sooo tempting when you see and smell them.

We went to Epcot to see the Candlelight Processional and the Illuminations. We had a nice time being there and seeing all the Christmas decoration. We forgot our camera, so no pictures.

As we walked back to our car, my husband checked his pedometer and it reached his goal of 10,000 steps a day. I'm sure I have done as much as him and my feet were killing me when we got home. I was out as soon as my head hit the pillow. What a workout day!

Real Quick!

I'm in the mood to be outside today with the beautiful weather in the sun. I asked my husband this morning if he wanted to go to the YMCA today and do some walking around the park and we can leave our daughter at daycare for 2 hours. We haven't had a much time together alone and I thought this is one way we can do together and get some exercise as well.

Thank you all for your nice comments yesterday and you all have motivated me to keep going. I'm feeling so good today that I just want to go outside and play! Hope everyone have a fabulous Saturday! Spend time with your loved ones today!

Hello 130's! Are you here to stay?

So 139.5 decided to show up on my scale this morning and of course it had to be on a Friday. I decided that this weekend I am going to avoid going out to eat as much as possible. I will be informing my husband that I will be making food and dinner at home this weekend. I don't like to cook but it's definitely worth it for my weight loss.

Thank you all so much for your encouragements and sharing your advices and tips to me. It definitely helps send me skinny vibes!  For those of you that ask for my 140's vibes, I'm happy to send it to you as well. I don't want the 140's. I'm soo sick of it!

I enjoyed shopping at the mall with my friend. We were there for 4  hours and that's a lot of walking. I'm proud of myself for making good food choices by having grilled chicken for lunch and I bought my "emergency" snack when I am tempted to have Annie's pretzel or Cinnabun each time I walked by it. I like to keep Odwalla bars with me to keep me from making bad choices. My husband and I like to argue over these bars because we both like them very much. We buy them when we travel on planes and road trips. It really helps fill us up.

I noticed many of you do clothes reward for your weight loss success like buying a dress a size smaller and the size you dream of. I realized I haven't done that and should try it. There is a magazine I get in the mail called Title Nine. I love their clothes and bathing suit during the summer time. I remember last year they had this nice bathing suit in orange and brown color. I thought to myself that I would buy it if I weigh 135, but I never got there. It never occurred to me that I could buy it and save it for later. I'm sorry I didn't buy it because they don't sell the same bathing suit every year. They are quite expensive but I can't help liking their clothes. So I decided next summer I am going to buy a bathing suit in the size I like and use that as my reward.

Where are you 130's??

My  body seems to be stuck at 140 and doesn't want to go into the 130's. It can be pretty frustrating, but I am going to beat that scale and make it tell me 139.5 by tomorrow!

Yesterday I put up my Christmas tree and my little village. This is the first time I set up a village for Christmas and I love it! I had to put them above the kitchen cabinets to prevent my 2 years old from playing with them. I have a 9 foot ceiling in my apartment, so it's nice to have some room on top. It looked soo pretty and homey at night time with the lights glowing from the little houses. I should take a picture and show them to you.

My christmas tree is another story. It's practically falling apart. We bought a cheap 4 foot christmas tree from Target during my first year of marriage. I have very few ornaments on it and lights. No tree skirt or star yet. Next year I am buying a new tree with pre lit lights on it with skirt and a star. My daughter thinks it's pretty and constantly pick at the ornaments.

I have a friend coming over today and we plan to do some christmas shopping at the mall. I'm thrilled to get out of the apartment and get some exercise. Maybe that will get me into the 130's. I'm also happy she's coming because my daughter hasn't been able to play with anyone for a while and she is bored like crazy. So my friend has a 2 years old son and they can play together.

I need to start thinking about going to the YMCA again. I think I will go tomorrow before meeting my other friend. It's hard to get back in the habit of going to the gym after being away for soo long. I was traveling all month of October and I just wanted to stay home for a while. Now I am ready to get out again. I'm only half a pound away from 130's and I want to get there!

Pictures and Videos.

Thank you all for your nice comments on my daughter's picture and video. I'm glad you enjoyed them. I was happy to share them with you. I was so ecstatic that I finally figured out how to put them on here.

I'm happy to report that I'm down to 140 this morning. It was weird because I was soo bloated last night and I thought for sure I gained weight but I didn't. I ate all the right food and did mostly housecleaning. I still have the nasty headache and my husband thinks I have a sinus infection because it feels hard on my forehead and I'm still dizzy. So he is going to get some sudafed for me and if that don't work, I will try municex. I just hate having this dizziness and it making it hard for me to read or concentrate on anything.

I was thrilled to see last night that Helio and Julianne on Dancing with the Stars won. I was so excited and jumping up and down made me even more dizzy haha. But it was worth it. I was soo hoping they win and I even register on ABC to vote for them. I only saw 20 minutes of TBL last night and will conitnue to finish it today when my daughter take her nap. It looks like TV land will be full of christmas shows this week and next week. I plan to record some of the cute ones for my daughter.

Also I learned something new yesterday. I couldn't figure out what was the jellyfish we saw on the beach on Monday. Here is the picture of the jellyfish.

My husband showed it to a friend who grew up in Florida and she told us that's a Man O' War jellyfish. I was like whoa! Those things sting bad and I was worried that my daughter would step on one of those, but thank goodness she never did. There was also red tide that day and red tide is when the algae bloom from the ocean is blowing in the wind. It can be difficult to breathe in it and I had trouble breathing that day. Thus why we only stayed an hour on the beach. So that's what I learned new about Florida beaches.

Well it will be another day of laundry and cleaning. Hope you all have a great Wednesday!

Here is a short video I made of my daughter enjoying the beach.

I figured it out!
