For what? Anything! "Counting your blessings puts you in a positive
frame of mind immediately," says Peterson. In one study, volunteers who
counted their blessings every day felt less stress and more optimism
than a control group that did not. In a similar study, people who kept a
weekly gratitude journal for six weeks felt more satisfied with their
lives compared to those who recorded hassles or neutral happenings in
their journals.

I'm so grateful for my weight loss yesterday and my opportunity to be able to go to the gym and workout. I felt great all day from my workout and it was really nice to see my friend again after not seeing her for 2 months.
I did the elliptical machine for 10 minutes and then the treadmill for 30 minutes walking uphill at incline 7. I need to rebuilt my muscle again after not working out at the gym since September. Traveling and being sick can mess up your routines and it's hard to get back into it, but I'm glad I did go yesterday.
The gym was very quiet and a lot of new people working there. It was nice because you have many more choices on picking out which machine you want to use and I like to be closer to the TV to be able to read the closed captioning.
I finally got to the bookstore at Barnes and Noble to pick up a few things and I looked up Shelley's article in the Health magazine. Way to go Shelley! You look awesome!
I also want to say thank you all for your wonderful comments yesterday and encouraging me to keep going! I'm going to check on you all now.
A Christmas Photo for you.

Now that was an amazing post =) Loving the quotes...i'm such a quote freak..
You walk at a level 7 incline?! DAMN! Does the machine go that far?? I already have trouble keeping up with the level 4 incline..oh my god..I wish i could see what it looks like at level 7 =P
Thanks for the advice on my site!! I'll try my best to do it the natural way, dont worry...I know how un-enjoyable it is to have to take a pill for that
First of all I want to say a big Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving some words of encouragement. Secondly, your blog is totally what I needed. I have had a rough couple of days but I was even trying to see the positive side of the last few days... so I am thankful that we have good medical insurance to pay for mine and my families healthcare needs. Thank you so much for reminding we do have a choice in the way we view things and in our attitude. Keep the positive vibes coming because they are totally inspiring me...
Lauren...thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog...I am a quilter...although sometimes it is more of a sickness than a hobby...there are times that I think about and even dream about fabrics and patterns and quilts I want to make....if I live to make all the quilts in my head, I'll live forever! I started sewing when I was 5 y/o...I even make all my own barbie doll clothes...made my own clothes though high school....in the 70's that was easy..as I dressed hippie style...still make clothess some, but mostly quilts and decorative stuff for my children's homes, grandson's room and my home...someone is always moving and need new curtains.
for sharing the christmas photo......it lifted my spirits.
I loved reading your post and feeling all the positive vibes from it. Such a simple thing to do......be thankful......it makes one feel so confident and lets our spirits soar with the eagles. If we said a simple "thank you" for every blessing we recognize everyday, we would have no time to complain. Blessings to you for much, much happiness. Chargail
