My weight has been the same all weekend and I'm frustrated that it's not moving down as I thought it would be. I did so much walking and ate the right food but it still won't budge. At least I didn't gain and I'm thankful for that. I've been thinking of different ways how to get the scale to move down and I think one of the reasons is not enough water. So I'm working on that this morning already.
I stay home most of the day yesterday with hubby and DD. We went food shopping and exchanged a desk at Ikea for the 4th time. Hubby and I are having a bit of disagreement on computer desks.
I decided that I am going to return to the YMCA tomorrow and it's time for me to get back to the gym. I'm going to work on weights and the elliptical machine. I've done enough walking that I don't need to walk any farther on the treadmill. I need a change of routine. I found a neat article on elliptical machine and thought to share it with you all.
Hope you all start the day with some skinny vibes and I'm going to check on you all now.

Re: Stuck
I know what being stuck is like. It's like your body is saying, "Wait a minute here. I know what you're doing and I want to hold on to this fat just in case I need it for later." Sometimes just waiting it out will make a big difference. Other times I find that changing things up a bit makes a difference. I'll suddenly for 3 days go lower carb / higher fat. I stay within the same calories but it sends the message to my body that there is enough fat coming in, and it seems to feel free to go back into my fat storage again. :-)
Sounds like your body is trying to hold on to the reserves but it will give in eventually and the water is a great idea! I need to do the same. Just finishing my 1st 20 oz's now. Drink up with me :)... Changing up your routine will probably help alot! Good luck and have a great day!!
Yepper...I know how frustrated you are that the scale isn't moving. Even more so because you were 100% good this weekend and didn't eat out - doesn't that kill? But...with all of the walking you did you may be retaining water in your muscles. Give it a day or two and I guarantee the scale will move down.
You know I love the elliptical!! I've logged many an hour on it during the last year and I always get an excellent workout. I've even been able to increase my resistance to between 7 and 10 when I do intervals. I use the one with the arms but when I first started I just used the regular one.
was wondering why you were talking about salt after I read the eliptical article =P but then you posted the salt link after and the confusion was gone..thank god! haha
Changing your routine is a great way to lose weight. When I started running i lost 10 pounds pretty fast after staying at 200 for the entire summer despite all my efforts. Soooooooo...I say go for it! Change it up a bit and see what it does =)
Thanks for coming over to visit. That was very nice of you. I was in the same boat. I could not break through weighing 137pounds. This also happened to me when I weighed 147 pounds. I just started drink more water than my usual. Everytime i thought about water I would start chugging. and that did it. You would be surprised what water will do. Good luck on losing. Keep doing all the positive things you are doing. Also, sometimes if you trick your body and do you usual pattern different it sometimes will reflect on the scale. For example if you normally walk or run on MWF and jog on T-TH try to reverse it and if you drink water 300z. change it to 40Oz. Let me know if that works.
Maybe the YMCA is just what you need to "shake things up". I miss my elliptical. There is NO room for it in our new house. Once you get used to the different motion--- they are an awesome workout. Go girl!
Thanks for the nice comments and sending your sunshine!
My body is so stuck these days!!! I exercise, I eat as well as I can, and the scale isn't budging. I have to figure out what the deal is and do something about it. I'm reading a hilarious book called Skinny Bitch. Its a very blunt book about what we shouldn't be doing if we want to be a Skinny Bitch. LOL
