Before After

Hey everyone!

I'm so sorry I have been missing in action lately. I've been so busy lately and less time on the computer as well. You all were still in my thoughts the whole time. I got several good news to tell you.

First of all, I bought a new car yesterday! My husband and  I have been debating for the last 2 weeks on whether to buy a car or not. We did a lot of research on what kind of car we want and to find the best deal. We heard a lot of good things about Carmax, so we decided to check it out. It turns out that Carmax was mighty expensive for us and I wasn't happy about their offer to trade in my car plus the interest on the payment was way too high. So we left. We kept searching online all weekend and I was reading an article on Edmunds about minivans. We wanted a minivan but not one of those big loader ones like Honda and Toyota. We were looking at something cute like Mazda MVP and Hyundai Santa Fe. But we couldn't find them in our price and milage range at the same time. Then I came upon this article on minivans. I found out that a Mazda 5 was a minivan. I checked it out and it didn't look like a minivan to me but it was! We found the price and mileage range we wanted and Toyota gave us a better offer on my car to trade in with lower interests on payments than Carmax! We were shocked that carmax actually tried to ripped us off. It really paid to do your research before buying a car. So we're soo excited to have a new car now.

My weight is finally going down. All that running and weight lifting I did last week really works! Before I was only just running on the treadmill, but last Wednesday I decided to test the theory on weightlifting before doing cardio exercises. I was sure that I was gonna be too tired to do carido exercise after weightlifting. I did weightlifting for a good 30 minutes before I hopped on the treadmill. To my surprise, I felt more energy after weightlifting and I even ran longer than 15 minutes! I also ran about 1 1/2 miles. I never checked to see how many distance I could run and I thought it was less than a mile but to my surprise it was more! I felt really good after working out and then my scale finally started moving after TOM decided to come. I'm definitely going to do this again when I go back to the Y on Thursday. I could have gone today but I am sooo behind on laundry and housework from car shopping all weekend.

Last Saturday, I got a break from my 2 years old for 8 hours! I never had that much a break in a long time. My friend watched her all day while I get to go out with my friends to Bahama Breeze for an early lunch and then we hang out at Barnes and Noble cafe chatting. Afterwards, we went to the movie to see the Pirates. To our disappointment, it wasn't as good as we thought it would be. Then I had to go pick up my daughter. It was just sooo nice to be myself for a few hours and step out of the mommy role. I'm really grateful to my friend for watching her that long. It's very hard for me to find people to watch my daughter because we don't have any family living in Florida. They're all up in NY, NJ, and PA.

Wow sorry I am blabbing too much but I guess that what's happen when you're away from your blog too long. I do have a bit of bad news. I was on the phone with my mom telling her about the new car and she told me my grandmother had a heart attack last Friday night and congestive heart failure with pneumonia. She also have a tumor in her liver. Things are not really looking good for her right now. I could tell my mom is really upset about it plus she is moving out of her house now at the same time. She has to have everything out by June 26th which is tomorrow. She also doesn't feel well since she got the virus. It's a bad time up there with family now. Sometimes it's really hard to be far away when there's not much you can do to help.

Well I am going to check on you all and see if you all are getting skinner than me now!

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother.  Indeed, it must be awful to have her living so far away!

Kudos on your success with the weightlifting/cardio switch.  You're doing great!

Nahhhh

Right on - good for you getting a break from your daughter.  We know you love her, but sometimes a little break makes us better parents LOL!!

Congrats on the scale moving down - have a great rest of the week!!
