Thank You!
Thank you all so much for the nice birthday wishes you left me yesterday. It truly made my day!
I had a really nice birthday yesterday with my friend and 5 crazy kids and a babysitter. We decided to go to a park in Apopka, Florida where they have natural spring water you could go swimming in. But when we got there, the weather got stormy and we couldn't go swimming. So we were sitting in my friend's big red van at a gas station trying to figure out what to do with 5 kids! While we were figuring things out, the kids kept going in and out of the van to the store to buy junk food and drinks. I got myself a small York candy.
We decided to head to the mall because they have an indoor playground for the kids. I just wanted to be able to sit and chat with my friend without the kids hanging on us. The only bad thing about the playground was it was next to a Kay-Bee Store. There were so many times when we saw one of the kids coming running out of the store with a toy and we had to tell them to put it back in the store. Kids are so fast and they can disappear in the store quickly.
We decided to go up to the food court to eat our picnic lunch we brought with us for the park. The kids and my friend and I were a bit hyper from the sugar we ate at the gas station. My friend's 4 years old son was the only boy in the whole group of 7 girls. He was hopping along the bench when he came up to his mom who was sitting in a regular chair eating her lunch. He told his mom to look at the back of his pants and she asked him what am I looking for? He said I farted! and took off. We were laughing sooo hard til our belly hurts. What can you expect from a boy?
We were waiting for a long time for the babysitter to come back from her shopping. We didn't know that she planned to surprise me with a cookie cake from Great American Cookies Co. She bought a candle with number 28 on it. I had a 2 slices of it. It was sooooo good!
As we were leaving, the 3 oldest kids were running up the escalator. We were so embarrassed by them and trying to get them to stop. The 4 years old boy, Zach, was holding on to the top of the stair and it was dragging his body. I quickly tried to pick him up thinking he would be hurt. He was laughing and turned out just fine. There was a security guard nearby and my friend winked at him to come by and yelled at the kids. The kids sure were afraid of him and stop playing on the escalator and then the guard walked away laughing.
Then we got in the van and my friend had to pee really bad. So she pulled up in front of the mall and ran in with 2 kids to go to the bathroom. I was trying to buckle in one of the toddlers because she figured out how to unbuckle herself. Next thing I know, the oldest girl, Hannah, tapped on my shoulders and told there is a cop outside of our van. The van windows were tinted with shades and it's hard to see inside, so he was standing sideways with his hands on his gun. I rolled the window down and popped my head out and said Hi! The guard asked if everything is okay, I told him yep, just waiting for a friend who had to go to the bathroom. He said we can't block a delivery driveway and asked if I could pull up. By then, he figured out I was deaf and he asked me "Can you drive?" I told him yes I can drive. My friend had her driver's seat all the way up to the dashboard that I looked like a complete idiot to the cop trying to get my feet down from the dashboard to the gas pedals. After I drove up a couple of feet, he drove away and parked on top of the hill to watch us until we leave.
After my friend got back from the bathroom, a box of gold fish fell all over the van's floor and the kids picked up a handful of goldfish and shoved it in their mouth. I started laughing and told my friend that her kids look like animals. She said they are animals!
We drove back to my apartment and the kids went swimming in the pool and my daughter Alyssa and her best friend took a bath together. I was soooo exhausted after they left. It was one crazy birthday I had with 5 kids and a babysitter.
I'm so happy to report that I made it to 139.5 today! Another great birthday gift for me. I hope I stay in the 130's for now on. That running I had to do last monday was totally worth it! I'm staying home today instead of going to the Y because I have tons of laundry to catch up on and my daughter is going to Disney tonight with her babysitter. So she'll need her rest for that and my hubby and I are going out to dinner ALONE! We;re going to the Cheesecake Factory. I will be going to the Bahama Breeze on the 23rd of June with a bunch of friends for my belated birthday. We couldn't do much last weekend because I couldn't find a babysitter to watch Alyssa and next weekend is Father's Day weekend. So I'm looking forward to going out to eat with friends without any distraction from my daughter. I rarely get much of a break from her, so I take advantage of it when I can.
I hope everyone have a great day and the pounds are disappearing!
