Before After

Out of Shape

I decided to do a different show of Gilad that I DVRed on FitTv and in the middle of the show, I decided to stop and switch to the one I was using before vacation. That new show was too advanced for me and I was truly out of shape with no exercise for 2 weeks. But I got thru the 2nd show and I was exhausted. I wanted to laid down and take a nap with my daughter after that, but I decided to watch a Gilad show to see what exercise he does while I stretched my muscles. It felt good to do that and then take a shower.

After my daughter took her nap, I took her outside to let her ride her bike while I walk with her but it was really short because the weather got pretty hot at 91 degrees. So after dinner, I took her swimming in the pool for an half hour. I did a lot of running around in the pool, pushing her, and catching her. I didn't realized I was working out my leg muscles until I started to relax and read a book before bed. I felt my legs getting sore from all the workout I did. It felt soo good to be sore and I felt strong again.

So I'm eager to go to the YMCA today and try the ellipitical machine (not sure if I spelled that right), I was checking out Shape magazine website and they explained how the ellipitical machine can strengthen your core for running. It's one of those machine where you move your feet and arms and it's the fastest way to burn calories. So I thought to give it a try.

Thank you all for your encouraging comments to get me back on track. I have lost 2 lbs since I got home and I have 2 more to lose from my vacation weight gain. Reading your comments and blogs got me motivated to exercise and stay on track. I'm sorry if I haven't comment on your blog but I will get there. I give myself a time to stop blogging here, otherwise I will be stuck on the computer all day which is not a good thing. If I finish everything I need to do and take a break, I would come back on here for a few minutes before doing something else.

I hope everyone have a great Friday!

Super!

You're doing so well - way to go!  I hope you enjoy the elliptical as much as I do.  I usually only do 15-20 minutes of it at a time, though, because I start to lose feeling in my feet if I stay on too long (hard to explain).

Keep up the great work!

Maybe, but

You may be "out of shape" but you are doing something about it.  Be proud and stand tall!  You're doing great!

Way to go!

Great job on getting back on track!  Sounds like you had a great exercise day!

Emachine

Once you start the eliptical machine you will just love it.  It so easy and low impact that you want to do more exersice.  I am sure that with time you will grow used to it and enjoy it.

Happy Friday!

91 degrees!

Lucky duck, 91 degrees!  I'm sure you hate it but it's always so cold here and I'm always freezing!  I'd love to live someplace tropical or at least someplace warm. hehe  I have heard that Florida gets a little too warm, though.  Something about the humidity.

I am addicted to the elliptical machine, been using it for a year straight!  It's good stuff and when I go to my parents' house to use their tread mill I find that I can actually jog on it without dying.  So the thing you said about the elliptical "strengthening your core for running" makes sense to me. :)

Great job losing those 2 pounds!  You will get the next two off in no time.
