Before After

A hot day.

The weather in Florida is getting hotter now. It will be 89 degrees here today and tomorrow. This is the perfect weather to go swimming. I love swimming and all but I'm still very self conscious about my body in a bathing suit. I try not to think about it and ignore those skinny girls in a bikini.

There is a trend here in Florida among the girls espcially in college. I noticed many of them are thin and in good shape. I used to live in Kansas and go to college and I've never seen this many thin girls there as much as in Florida. I didn't feel self conscious much in KS, but in Florida, it feels very different. It almost like these people are telling you that if you want to live in Florida, you gotta be thin and look good. Of course, not everyone looks that way here, but it's very noticeable.

I'm determined to not let my self conscious bother me with the bathing suit and I want to go swimming with my daughter at the pool. She loves to swim as well and I'm thinking about taking a swim lesson class with her at the YMCA. I have to ask you all how do you deal with the bathing suit season? Do you feel self concious as well? What do you do to ignore it and just enjoy your day swimming? Tips and advices on this would help a lot.

Summer

I know just how you feel when it comes towards bathing suit season. In reality, I think that we all are self concious even the skinny girls in bikini's. I try and not let this get to me. I know its hard but I won't lie, I hate going to public pools where all Im going to see is girls in these bikini's, but you know what you have to think about it, you have come along way, you should be proud of your body and you should learn to accept it for what it is. I think that by accepting our body we are in a better off situation.

I know when it comes to this season, i go to the pool and swim, I don't pay attention to others and I have a fun time! I hope this helps!

I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!

Talking about bathing suit's, I need one! Haha!

Okay....so here is my advice

Forget how you feel in your suit and just do it for your daughter.  I hate bathing suits too but I do it for my son and just don't care what anyone thinks.  I know that is easier said than done but if we do it for our kids, it gives a different persepctive.

Don't worry or care about what others think.  Reality is that you are probably the only one who cares......doubtful that anyone around you is going to think anything negative about you.  And, frankly, if they do, it is a thought....that you will never know!!!  :)

Do it for the baby, girlfriend!!!

Felt the same Today

Today at the gym I thought everyone is so skinny and my shorts are riding up my thighs!  But then I thought who cares at least I am trying and I have probably had many more good meals than they have.
