Need a New Plan
OK, I had enough going in circles.
I'm putting myself on a New Plan this week. I dug out my Body for Life books, and am going to sit down and read them this week.
I'm tired of wasting my time.
I need something that is going to make me see results, and I believe the Body for Life is it.
My Son showed me how to use his wt. bench this morning. Now I'll have a really good bench to work on! Plus he has all the heavy wts. I'll need in the future.
Need time to read the book, going to skip through all the stories and just focuse on the work out plan. Haven't read the book in a long time so I want to make sure I know what I need to do. Not to mention I need to dust off the bench and put together the wts. that I will need to start off with.
Also need to get the food part together. Lucky for me I have been eating most of the foods, but I want to read all that again too.
So I'm hoping by the end of the week I will be able to start the whole program. Not sure if I want to go with only one day of rest. I really like the 2 days off because I think its better for me. I guess I'll see how I can work that into the program.
In the mean time I plan on doing my cardio until I am able to begin this program.
So that's my plan for the week. It feels really good to have a Plan.

weights
When I lost a substantial amount of weight, weight training is what helped boost my metabolism, not the cardio. It was kind of effortless, but I let my good habits fall to the wayside. Good for you on revamping and good luck!

Cool!
Alicia will be so proud of you! Good luck with your new program. Though they all do tend to run together and overlap. So many of them are so similar, just with a different name. BFL is a sound program and you know it works. You can do this!!!

Yes!
I couldn't agree more with doing BFL. Seriously!
Since kinda relaxing and being all over the place...counting calories, extra cardio, skipping weight training sessions, etc... I REALLY see just how awesome Body-for-Life is. It's simple, easy, and has been copied over and over. If I'm not mistaken Body-for-life has been the blue print for many programs since it's beginning in 1997 or 1998. (ie, they are copy cats)

It's awesome too how it teaches about more than the scale, exercise, and food. It teaches about LIFE skills and how to manage things (which makes life less stressful)
I'm so glad you have a plan. It does feel awesome to get things cleared in your head. You are going to do great!!
Also...thanks so much for the warm welcome back.
I miss this place when I'm away.

yay
Good for you for getting lighter by lifting HEAVY! Soon your son will be calling you muscle mama

Agreed
Weight training is such a good way to get on track. Muscle burns more calories than fat, and looks a whole heck of a lot better. BFL is a wonderful program - I sincerely hope it works for you.
