Happy Wednesday...On Thursday

Well I weighed my self and the yoyo is back up again.  I honestly think I only kept track of my points 3 days last week.  Thank God for another try!  I'll get this right eventually. 

I did something different today.  I did a Tae Bo workout on ON DEMAND this morning.  Although I didn't complete the workout (saying it kicked my butt would be an understatement), I plan to make it one of my workout goals this week.  I starting to feel sore just writing this.  I have to admit though, it was fun doing it.  Billy Blanks has a lot of energy and just makes me want to keep trying.

I really need to see a good change on the scale next Wednesday.  So my goals this week are:

  1. Work out at least 4 days this week.
  2. Try to do the quick Tae Bo workouts every other morning in addition to my 4 workouts. 
  3. Keep my food journal every day. 
  4. Stay totally ON PLAN.

back down...again

I am happy to say that I lost 2 lbs.  I attribute this mainly to the crazy shortcut we took to get from the auxillary parking lot to Fedex Field  on Sunday.  Then after joining some friends at a tailgate party for about an hour, we proceeded to walk up about a kazillion ramps to get to section 400 (you guessed it, THE TOP LEVEL!!!).  After that we had to walk up the steps to row 20.  Then do the reverse of all that after the game was over. For those of you who follow the Redskins, well, you know what happened.  Or didn't happen in the 2nd half. 

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the 2.5 mile walk I did early that morning. 

So I got some really good exercise in on Sunday. 

I did pretty good on last weeks goals too.  So my goals for this week are to:

  1. Keep my journal daily.  For some reason (laziness) I haven't been writing down what I eat on the weekend. 
  2. Work out 4 days this week.

Back Up

But not giving up on myself.  I am a year smoke free now (as of 9/15 yayyyy meeeee!!!!!  )so maybe the cravings for food will ease off some more.  Funny thing is, I almost didn't put my weight in and just skipped blogging for this week.  But I've done that in the past and it's gotten me absolutely nowhere. 

So my goal this week wil be a repeat of my goals two weeks ago.  I did pretty good on them (except for that eating after 8:00 thing -- need to work on that).  One of the things that should motivate me -- I MADE MY RESERVATIONS FOR ST. MAARTEN!  I really have to look good by then.  Maybe not bikini ready -- I'll probably never be there again.  But at least look good in a one piece. 

I meant to add my embarrassing moment over the weekend.  My husband and I decided to take the kids on a weekend trip to Williamsburg, VA.  No reason, just wanted to get away.  Anyway, we took them to the go cart place.  I got in the cart, but couldn't adjust my seatbelt to fit around me.  An attendant finally came to my rescue and adjusted enough.  I was so embarassed.  But I laughed it off because my daughter was in the seat next to me.  My husband said he had the same problem.  I guess we both need to get serious about this.

I heard it's beautiful outside.  I think I'll take a walk today.

I'm Baaaack!!!

...and 2 pounds lighter!! 

August was such a tough month for me.  I gained weight (went up to 242), my dog was attacked by a pit bull, work was super busy....and on and on.  So I really didn't have much time to blog at all.  On top of that, when the weight piled on,  I got so down that I really didn't want to blog. 

But now I'm back and here are my goals for the week:

  1. Stay on plan and make good food choices.
  2. Exercise at least three times this week (one down two to go).
  3. Stop eating after 8:00.

Another No Change Week

Still at 241.  This is getting kind of frustrating.  I know I haven't done what I'm supposed to do in the past, but I've really stepped up my exercise and am trying to watch my food intake.   As for my goals last  week:

  1. Plan meals daily. (Didn't do this. Will do it this week)
  2. Keep a food Journal. (needs inprovement)
  3. Work out at least 3 times this week. (worked out 5 times this week -- Yeah!!)
  4. NO JUNK FOOD!!! AT ALL! NOT EVEN ONCE! (I cheated)

My goals for this week:

  1. Plan meals daily.
  2. Improve on my food journal.
  3. Work out at least 4 days this week.
  4. NO JUNK FOOD!!! AT ALL! NOT EVEN ONCE!
  5. No eating after 8:00 p.m.  No even water.

Weight is still the same

No change. I'm starting a new thing.  I'm putting my goals in for the week. I will indicate whether or not I met each goal next week.

Goal this week:

  1. Plan meals daily.

  3. Work out at least 3 times this week.
  4. NO JUNK FOOD!!! AT ALL! NOT EVEN ONCE!

I'm still here.

I know.  I know.  Been kinda MIA.  But I have a really good excuse.  Well...okay so I don't.  I just got tired of the scale going in the wrong direction or not moving at all.  And I know why it's doing that.  I'm not doing what I'm supposed to do.  I'm really not trying as hard as I should and I keep making up excuses why I should eat those cookies or not go to the gym.  But that was last week.

So far this week...

1.  Weighed myself yesterday.  Thankfully, I'm still at 241lbs.  That means if I gained anything at all, I lost it over the past two weeks. 

2.  Got a work out buddy.  We've been pushing each other at the gym and I am so grateful for that!  Oh yeah, and I've worked out almost every day this week (I skipped Sunday).

3.  Went to my mother-in-law's house (the 1st one) .  I was going through her pictures.  Saw pictures of her, her and the grandkids, even some with me and my kids.  Then I came across one with me and my husband (the first one).  Back when we used to take pictures at the club.  Man!!  Did I look good!  I'm thinking about posting it.  Will let you know when I do.

These three things are my motivation for now.  I want to lose at least 1 pound by next Wednesday.

Okay, okay so it's Friday.  I know that.  I've had a busy week and couldn't post on Wednesday so today it is.  No change in weight, but it's okay.  There will be a change next week, I'm sure.    

My Workout

Ok...so I've been watching the Biggest Loser Marathon on the Style Channel last weekend in order to get some motivation.  Then I went to Target and saw the workout DVD and bought it.  I've been putting off working out to it. 

Until last week.  Let me tell you, the workout beat the #$@! out of me.  In fact, this morning, I did the cardio workout and was dripping wet by the time it was over.  And I can't wait to do it again.  So far this week, I have worked out 3 days.  My plan is to work out 5 days this week. So I have 2 more days to go. 

I saw my sister Timothea this past weekend too.  Let me tell you, she is slimming down nicely.  Unfortunately for me, she now weighs less than me.  But that's okay, she's just motivating me to stick with it.  Pretty soon we're both going to be slim and sexy!!

Out of Sync

For some reason, I keep thinking today is Tuesday and I didn't weigh in.  I'll try to tomorrow. 

It's really, really, REALLY time to get serious now.  I can't do this up and down weight thing anymore.  See, I booked my trip to the Bahamas for my birthday/anniversary next year which means I have to be under 200 pounds at least by the end of January.  There has to be something that can do to stay focused and motivated.  I know I can do this because I've done it before. 

As you can probably see, I'm getting a little frustrated with myself for not begin able to stay dedicated to this weight loss issue. I've have seriously given thought to having the Lap Band Surgery.  My sister told me that my son has to have oral surgery.  His mouth will be wired shut for a few weeks, I'm sure.  Maybe I should have my mouth wired shut. I know it sounds funny, but I've actually been giving it some thought.  That's probably the only way I'll stop eating so much.
