My blood pressure is 114 over 76 and my resting heart rate, at Minyards, is 67. Badass.

Also, I'm not so crap at running as I thought.

Good food day yesterday overall. Had a little extra trail mix I hadn't planned but I think that only brought me to 1300 calories or so. Between kung fu and the gym, probably got two and a half to three hours of work out in. Not bad. Feeling healthy today.

Just got back from a run - hoping I can hit the gym between work and kung fu. Burn calories burn!

And a side note: it is a desperately BAD idea to munch on fiber cereal.. when a half cup is 57% of your daily fiber. I think the term, "Smooth moove, x-lax," is appropriate here.

Up to 151.

But I took last night off from kung fu and had a really yummy cookie dough shake at Steak N Shake with Jon last night after playing in the park. It was a good evening. The weather down here in Texas is.. PHENOMENAL. Like.. 70's and 80's yesterday.. I'm actually cold right now. Love.

Anyway. Just got back from 30 minutes on the elliptical and another half hour in the pool.. looking to work out more during the day before kung fu if I don't have to work much.

Yesterday was a good food day, good exercise day. I need to take a day off from kung fu.. my muscles need a recovery day. Oh well.. maybe I'll just wait 'til Sunday or something.

Ok.

So it goes like this:

The belt test went almost well. Except for the board breaking. And then I partied all Saturday night and had way too much pizza and cake. And then got up at 6 yesterday to help my sister move.. went to school... and again, ate too much, came home, finished cake. It was a well-spent, indulgent weekend I feel like I almost deserved.

Now though.. I'm gonna get back on it. Gotta get cute for Italy. Gotta train HARD for my brown belt. Gotta overcome this eating disorder. Get back on it.

WELL.

I sure haven't eaten so hot today and yesterday. No kung fu last night because class didn't get out 'til 10. But I did go work out at the kung fu school this morning by myself and then just got back from 700 calories at the gym. Still. eat better! What's my problem. Lord.

Anyway. So I was at the kung fu school and no one was there so I just changed in the main room and worked out in a sports bra and comfy pants. I didn't turn the lights on, so it was just natural lights coming in from one side of the room. And, like a dance room, there are floor-to-ceiling mirrors all along one wall.

I decided:

I am actually hot. A lot hotter than I thought I was. I can see almost all my muscles. Except my abs and most upper thighs. I eat too much, but I do work out damn hard and even when I overeat it isn't crap food or anything. 4 years of martial arts has paid off.

Also.

I went to target because I'm on a mission to find shirts that go all the way past the waist of my pants (almost none of mine do. Am I just too long or do I buy short shirts or what?) and ended up buying an on-sale pair of business pants. Size 8. And my butt.. looks cute in them. Hahaha. I didn't think that was possible. TAKE THAT CHUNKY BUTT. It's still not too awesome in a swimsuit, but I'm proud of my pant-able butt. Yay!

Eat less! Yea!

Yesterday was an AWESOME eating day. Had soymilk for breakfast.. edamame for lunch.. a slimfast bar for snack.. okra and veggie patties for dinner before kung fu... dayumn. Didn't go to the gym in the morning but practiced for the belt test in the front yard instead. Had a relapse in pop yesterday but that's ok.. at least it wasn't calories.

la di da.. here's to today! Did only 20 min on the elliptical and made up for it with 15 extra laps in the pool... swam a mile today. I should do that everyday. School starts today! Which means less kung fu :( But that's ok.. I still intend to workout a little tonight after school. I'm feeling good about the test.. Alex and I did a good horse stance yesterday.. held it 15 seconds longer than required.. our forms and punches and sparring are good.. the kicks.. are hard as hell.. they won't look too pretty.. but we'll pass. Hopefully :)

So.. I ate too much yesterday. But.. that's okay. I still burned.. about 2000 calories in workout and today is a new day. :) Plus, there's still the fact that when you're poor and cheap there isn't much to "binge" on and raisin bran and triscuits become the weapon of choice. Certainly not ice cream and bagels, these days. Woot.

There's a belt test this Saturday.. Alex and I *should* test.. but.. I don't think either of us are really ready. The only reason I really want to right now is because I might not get another chance before I leave for Rome and it'd be nice to get this "under my belt" before I leave.. before I come back less in shape. (Though I'm making extensive mental plans to workout while I'm there.. don't know how they'll actually pan out.) Anyway.. this'll be interesting

School starts tomorrow.. I have class Thursday and Friday night, all day Saturday and Sunday. That cuts into kung fu time. Bah.

I would.. really.. like to be at least to 140 before I leave.. ideally like 135 or so. Fit comfortably into the size 7's. I can wear them but.. they are not attractive.. :P As much as I work out these days.. if I eat even remotely well I'll lose. If I eat crappy I won't gain. That's a comforting thought. Though.. one should not ever have an excuse to eat crappy. So don't eat crappy, self.
