Everlasting Lethargy
GEEZ! How long can a person be sick???
I can’t say that I’m really knocked-flat-on-my-back-in-bed sick (although since Monday, I think I have spent 3 days, not all in a row, IN bed more than NOT in bed), but dragging with body aches, no energy, queasy stomach. I’d rather have a full-blown bug for 3 straight days and be over it. This is ridiculous.
(And no, I'm not pregnant. A physical impossibility.)
So . . . I haven’t worked out since a yoga session last Sunday. A whole week. I can’t even remember the last time I’ve gone a whole week without working out. Eating plan has been okay, because most things have turned my stomach. I’ve had a lot of chicken soup, simply because it sounded good and smelled good and went down pretty easy, and applesauce. I’d like to think I’ll show a weight loss tomorrow, but without any workouts, I’m not optimistic.
Damn. How to get well again? Feeling very bummed . . .

Hooo boy, under the weather
Yuk, I've had some bug the past few days.
No vomiting or diarrhea, but headache, dizziness, queasy stomach, extreme muscle aches and fatigue. NO APPETITE (whoo-hoo, that's a good thing for a few days). NO energy to work out (that's a bad thing).
No posting, as you can see. I got on a couple of times (HEY! it's MUCH better getting on and staying on lately) and posted a comment or two, but haven't had the mental energy to come up with my own entry.
But now I'm BAAAAA-AAACK and will be catching up with all throughout the day. Hope everyone is a loser today!

Slip Slidin'
Well, I didn’t do nearly as well this week as I thought (wished) I would. My mini-challenge (see Wednesday) did not go as well as I would have liked (see Friday). I’m down .6 total for the week. Lame, so lame.
BUTT! It’s Monday, and we always make a fresh start with new resolve on Mondays, right? So . . . here’s to my Monday and a great week ahead. And "clink!" same to you! Kick butt this week!

Words we love to hate
Just cruised over to The Incredible Shrinking Teacher's blog. She gave me this idea:
What words just drive you nuts, like fingernails on a chalkboard? I love this question on the Actor's Studio. The celebrities usually answer pretty graphically! (I wonder how clean we need to keep it here?)
I hate:
- obese (prefer "overweight")
- B.O. ("stink" or "smells bad")
- pimple ("zit")
I'm sure there are others, I'll add as they come to mind.
What words make you cringe?

Staying in town after all
So I'm not jetting off to troubleshoot the family crisis. I'll spend the weekend decompressing and getting back on track=> sensible eating and working out. Enjoying my DH who returned from his trip last night.
I hopped on the scale and did lose a pound during my sabotaged mini-challenge, so maybe I can drop a few more tenths before weigh-in on Monday morning.
I WILL be visiting friends throughout the weekend, so watch for me! I'm on a roll with comments.
Love ya, and lose it! LolaKay

In the famous words of Gilda Radner . . .
. . . IT'S ALWAYS SOMETHING.
Geez. I've been troubleshooting an escalating family crisis from a geographic disadvantage, spending HOURS on the phone, communicating by email, and researching on the internet (new blog name--PHONE BUTT? KEYBOARD BUTT?)
This has definitely cut into my workout time, and stress eating is out to sabotage my mini-challenge. I hope to get my butt to the gym this morning for a strong elliptical session, then yoga at either noon or 4:30. I NEED THESE to take my mind off the crisis.
Thanks for all the comments, friends. I'll catch up with you soon. If I don't post, it means I've hopped on a plane (and what a GREAT time to be taking a last-minute cross-country trip by air, oh boy, can't wait to get to the chaotic airports and stand in frenzied security lines for hours) and will be out of commission for a few days.
Luck and losses to you all!

Can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em
Now, don’t get me wrong. I LOVE my husband. Love, love, love him. Truly.
BUTT! He left early this morning for a 3-day business trip, and people, can we hear a hoo-hah shout-out? THREE DAYS where I can eat EXACTLY when and what I want and need to eat, no temptations from his couch potato, throw the ribs on the grill and slap them generously with sweet sauce, let’s go get ice cream outlook on a healthy lifestyle.
I can work out twice a day. (Well, truthfully, I can do that when he’s here.)
Maybe I can drop 3-4 pounds in 3 days? Ya think? A mini-challenge! Wish me luck.

Another pound OFF!
Well, actually 1.2, but who's counting those tenths? I AM! Yippee. 9 sticks of butter off my butt! haha, I can dream. It's going slower than I'd like, but only I can control that with: eat less, move more. Simple stuff, huh?
It's still hard to get on here and post. Maybe it's that I try to log on during prime time when so many others are doing the same. I guess I should try the middle of the night . . .
Hope everyone is doing well and I'll be back later to catch up with My Friends, old ones and new!

CATCHING UP
Don't you just love the weekend, when you can take a deep breath and get everything right with the world again? It's been a GRRRRRREAT start for me:
- SLEEP--I slept so well last night and that's RARE for me. You may laugh at this, but I swear by it. The last massage I had, the therapist said, You might want to get some tennis balls, or other hard rubbery balls, lay on the floor and put them between the floor and the knots in your back and shoulders and move your weight around to work out the knots. Trust me, it is HEAVENLY. And it works. I know it's what has helped me sleep better.
- SOUP--I made a huge pot of the 0 point Weight Watchers veggie soup. (I may be a little insane--soup in 100 degree weather??!?) I must have cut up veggies for an hour. But it is so good, so filling, and ZERO POINTS, people!
- SWIM--went for an hour class, Aqua Sport, at the gym.
This knitter's butt WILL be shrinking!
Have a great Saturday and all weekend.

SIIIIIIIGGGGHHHHHHH
Don't you just hate those days where EVERYTHING FEELS OUT OF YOUR CONTROL? "Go here, go there, do this, do that, oops, must reschedule that appointment, oh--wait in this line for 35 minutes, can you, will you, you must . . . " YIKES!
And it's really bad to have TWO DAYS in a row that throw off your nicely-planned schedule. WHAT'S usually the FIRST THING to go? Working out. It just get squeeeeeeeeeezed out. I may have to clobber anyone who keeps me from working out tomorrow.
On the happy side, I'm pleased that eating and watering are going very well. Already I feel better.
Now, while I have the good fortune of being on the site, I'm going to stop by and visit friends!
