Out of a Cold...

A few days after I started this site, I came down with a rather nasty cold.
So this whole getting healthier by losing weight fell way side.

I don't want this to be one of those things I start but never finish.
I want to strive to become a healthier person for myself.  So I can do the things I planned to do when I was younger.

When I was in 6th grade, I had this plan that by the time I was 20, I'd be abroad...studying language and culture.
Obviously, this didn't go as planned.

I still want to do this, I still want to experience all the world has to offer.

I'd like to sit in a field of wild flowers and watch the clouds roll by, as the sun sets on a wondrous day...

I'd like to share a bit of information with you.
While I was sick, I drank herbal tea. (It was spearmint.)
I ate chicken and rice soup for lunch, and maybe a fourth of what I normally would eat at dinner.
I'm down to 220 now, and I know the weight loss is to do with the sickness I had.
I'm going to do everything I can to make sure the weight doesn't come back.


Also, the youtube video is just a song I'd like to share.
It's really beautiful. :)


It's Only the Beginning...

Hello everyone, the name's Kassie.

I'm currently 19 going on 20, and I weight 235 pounds.
I've struggled with weight all my life.

Now, as I feel I am maturing more and getting ready to head out on my own, I want to become healthy for myself and for my family.
I want to be able to go out and do things and not get tired easily, I want to be able to shop without feeling like a total fatty.
I want to be able to fit into things that are more to my style, and I want to be able to show my self confidence.
I have tried to lose weight in the past, nothing seemed to stick.

Hopefully I can find the support and diet/exercise plan that will work for me.

This isn't just about losing the weight and getting thin.
This is about changing my life for the better.

I don't want to be at risk for heart disease, and all the other things that come with obesity.

So this is where it starts....


Watch me fail, watch me succeed...and most of all.
Watch me get healthy.
