Before After

Day #2

Yes, I know.  NOT a very creative title but it really says it all.

Last night, wonderful hubby and I went to the gym.  We joined this gym a few months ago.  We only went a hand full of times and then kept putting it off.  FINALLY, we are both in agreement.  We NEED to get into exercising.  Just have to do it.  I am having way too many aches and pains.  I NEED to lose weight.  I don't do any exercise.  No way around it.  Just have to DO IT!

Also, that reminds me of a conversation I had with a new friend.  She met me for lunch.  When she got there she mentioned that she had just gotten done playing tennis.  After talking to her about it for a while I decided that I would like to try that some time.  I think I just might like it.

One of my big objections about "exercise" is that it is not fun.  I thought it was FUN to play volleyball in high school.  It is fun to play badminton.  It is fun to play ping pong.  I don't think about it as exercise...just fun.  I need to find something like that.  Maybe tennis is the answer?  She was so kind to invite me to come with her and her friends to play tennis.  I appreciated the invite but will have to wait until I lose at least SOME weight.  I can't image playing at my current weight.  Would I even last 5 minutes?  I am excited about trying it though.  It gives me yet another reason (and goal) to lose weight.  For FUN!  I want to have some fun.  How fun would it be to be able to meet a friend for lunch and casually mention that I was playing tennis?

Hooray for you!

Alright!  I'm glad you made it to the gym!  I agree that I need exercise to be fun or I lose interest very fast!  Tennis is great and so is kickball, basketball, badminton, anything that involves a little "friendly" (or deadly) competition, I'm there!

Awesome!

That's awesome that you and your husband went to the gym!  I think for the first time in a long time, I actually enjoyed walking today.  You are right about it needing to be fun.  I think it would be amazing to be eating lunch with someone and tell them that you're playing tennis.  I've never been into sports but I'm ready to get with it.  Great job!
