Have you tried the class more then once?
if you haven't tried the class for AT LEAST two weeks in a row, 2 - 3 times a week, (6 times in 3 weeks) you won't develop your "seat" muscles so that your butt will stop hurting, that is the BIGGEST hurdle to get over, whenever I had someone new in my cycling class, I asked them to stay for 20 minutes each time, then they could go, but MUST do so 2 - 3 times for two weeks to get over that hurdle, i PROMISE, the saddle gets "softer", and bike shorts help as well! :)
