Phew.
I lost a kilo, so I am back at my starting weight.
Yay.
I have been exercising a bit more the past week, I think I walked to work twice (2 more times than the last week!) and on the weekend I went for a swim both days.
Today I walked home from work and swam 22 laps of the pool, it's only a wee little 15 metre pool but I have learnt my lesson. Usually I go all out and swim 40 laps a day for a week, but I now know that that doesn't work for me. I exhaust myself and give up after a week, so I am just going to stick to the 22 laps for a couple of weeks.
The coming weekend I have Friday and Monday off and will be taking my lover away for his birthday... I don't think they have KFC in Kangaroo Valley!
I've also worked out why I have a problem with formatting, I am on a Mac and the screen looks different on my PC at work...

er.. yeah... Hi!
So. I gained.
1 kilo.
I started the week off well and it all just went to pot on the weekend.
We were painting our house and had no groceries until Sunday night so we had takeaway. THREE times.
I know what my problems are.
Lack of exercise and eating shit on the weekends.
But it's a new week you know and so far I have eaten well and walked home from work yesterday and walked there this morning.
Let me tell you, today was the COLDEST day Sydney has had in years or something. So it was fricking COLD. My nose ran all the way.
It's a 40 minute walk each way and I will do it again tomorrow so I am feeling pretty positive about the week ahead.
Oh yeah, I got my period last night, which partly explains my revelling in crap food on the weekend... that, and the fact that I was being a pig.
Hope you are all having a fantastic week.

Nothing new to report.
I sincerely doubt I will lose any weight this week as I really have not put in the exercise, make that, had any exercise and although I have a (fairly) healthy balanced diet, I have not cut back as I should to actually kick start my weight loss.
Starting this blog has been good, it has made me much more aware of what I put in my mouth so I guess that is a start.
I've been a bit stressed and on edge this week, I am not sure why.
I guess I am a bit stressed about work and I am missing my boyfriend, a lot. He lives 3 hours drive away and it's not always going to be easy to be far away from someone you love.
Meh.
Here's to a fabulous, motivated week next week!
:)

Eek.
I had a good day food wise, similar to yesterday and I signed up to CalorieKing.com.au to track my food and it turns out that usually I am spot on with my intake of food.
I say usually, because tonight we are having chicken risotto and garlic bread.
Thankfully he forgot to buy bacon as it was going to be chicken AND bacon risotto.
At least it's not KFC.
My flatmate also bought home a packet of Tim Tams but I SHALL resist those.
Tomorrow I AM going to walk to work.

Another day...
a little exercise.
(AND IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME WITH THE FORMATTING OF THIS BLOG PLEASE LET ME KNOW, I AM PUTTING SPACES IN BUT THEY ARE NOT APPEARING!)
I had an early-ish meeting this morning and then another one a couple of streets away.
Well... it looked like a couple of streets away on the map.
I was in Castle Hill and let me tell you, I think very few people walk in that area so there were no sealed footpaths! And it rained all day yesterday so the ground was very wet and muddy.
So I walked for half an hour in the mud, in stilettos. Does that count as a bit of exercise?
Food wise I had a very similar day as yesterday....
Morning
2 pieces of Soy-lin toast with low fat spread and 1/4 avocado
1 x cup of tea - dash of skim milk
1 x small glass of oj - 1/3 water
Mid morning
1 x small banana
Lunch
Wrap - 1 x slice of silverside, tomato, cucumber and spinach with dijonaisse... and cheese... oops
Afternoon
1 x mandarin
1 x green tea
1 x tomato
Dinner
1 x "Fruit Cup" cordial
Pumpkin, carrot, sweet potato, pea and corn mash (Try this, it is YUM!)
"Portugese chicken" - It was a packet sauce and we just added chicken, canned tomato, capsicum and onion.
Does anyone know if those packet sauces are bad? We figured out we could make our own anyway with basil, rosemary and tumeric so we will make it fresh next time.
Hope you all had a healthy day :)
**Edit** Ok... so we have run out of low fat cookies, I usually have one after dinner with a cup of peppermint tea... but we are oooooooutttt... The horror. So now I have eaten 2 slices of "Fruit and Muesli" toast by Burgen, it has 979kJ per serve... is that bad? Kilojoules mean nothing to me.... check out this link... izzit bad?

Sorry about the formatting.. I have no fricking idea
Not off to the best start today, I was unable to walk to work as it was bucketing down freezing rain and hail :-o
I had wet feet all day and I didn't even walk. Bummer. It put me in an incedibly bad mood, having wet feet.
I wrote down everything I ate. I feel like I am a relatively healthy eater, but maybe I just eat too much? After looking at this I realised I drink a LOT of fluid.
Breakfast:
2 slices of Soy-lin toast with low fat spread and 2 poached eggs.
1 x cup of English breakfast tea with dash of skim milk
1 x small glass of juice, 1/3 water
Mid morning:
1 x small banana
1 x large skim latte
1 x green tea
Lunch:
Wholemeal wrap with:
1 x slice of silverside, tomato, spinach, cucumber, low fat dijionaisse and 2 low fat slices of cheese (less that 2 grams of fat for both of them)
Mid-Afternoon:
150 grms fresh cherries
1 x Green Tea
Late Afternoon:
Peppermint Tea
1 Weight Watchers cookie
I also drank about 6 large glasses of water, although there is a lot of liquid there, this is very normal for me. 1 tea, 1 coffee then herbal teas and water for the rest of the day.
For dinner we are having grilled steak with a mash made out of pumpkin, sweet potato and peas.
This is a fairly normal day for me, but by making my wrap instead of buying it, I was able to limit the meat to one slice, whereas when I buy a wrap they put a lot on. I also don't have the cheese or dijionaisse every day, usually once or twice a week.
I feel like my food intake is ok actually, apart from on the weekends... I tend to "treat" myself and sometimes it can go overboard. Not to the degree where I am stuffing myself, I just eat shit.
Where I am really lacking, is my EXERCISE.
I have changed my weight after weighing myself this morning and am about to review my height. :)
Hopefully tomorrow will be nice and I can walk to work, though it is not looking very hopeful right now :(

It all starts tomorrow.
I am sick of it.
Sick of feeling gross.
Sick of eating badly.
Sick of the bulges on my back around my bra strap.
Weigh in is tomorrow, I weighed myself tonight, but I read somewhere the best time to weigh yourself is once a week at the same time, preferably first thing in the morning, just after you wee. Apparently this is your "true" weight.
Feel free to correct me if I am wrong. I need all the help I can get.
From the calculations I think I am about 20 kgs overweight, but I need my flatmate to measure me tomorrow as I am not entirely sure what my height is.
I'll keep you posted.
There are a lot of reasons, reasons which I have been using as excuses, why I am in this situation. I am sure over time I you will get to hear all the gory details but for now, let's just say I am over it.
