Happy and Sad
Okay, so mainly just a food log from yesterday.
I'm happy to say that the Ritz are gone from our house!
I'm sad to say that's because I ate another package yesterday.
I'm happy to say that my little guy is five years old now!
I'm sad to say that I ate a piece of cake yesterday.
I'm happy to say that my son chose a vegan birthday cake, so it had tofu instead of eggs, agave nectar instead of sugar, and was all organic!
I'm sad to say that's not even the cake I ate yesterday, but is the cake I'm having a piece of today
I'm happy to say that I had a salad for dinner yesterday.
I'm sad to say that other than the Ritz and the cake, that's all I ate yesterday.
I'm happy to say that I'm participating in a water challenge at F&F.
I'm sad to say that I'm failing miserably.

Food last night
Okay, so I decided that I was going to eat the dinner that I made for my family last night. It was lemon chicken piccata and it smelled SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO amazingly good. It had chicken breasts, capers, artichoke hearts, red peppers, lemon juice...it smelled amazing. I prepped it all at Dream Dinners and have had it in the freezer for a few days. Sadly, Dream Dinners are prepped in meals of three or six. We have eight members in our family. You can see my dilemma. I really should just start making meals of six and three and cooking them together, but that gets really expensive, so lately I've just been cooking the meals for my family and eating something else for myself. Last night was no different. *cry* I did manage to get a few bites off my husband's plate and it was just as delicious as it smelled. I have a couple of very picky kids. One of them ate just the chicken and left the capers and artichoke hearts. The other ate just the capers and artichoke hearts and left the chicken. You'd think I could get a full meal out of just eating what they left, but that seemed a little desperate and gross. lol By the time I decided I should make myself food, it was 10 o'clock at night and I try not to eat after 8 these days, so I ended up just not having dinner.
Oh, and I slipped yesterday. I had a nonfat caramel macchiatto. I was up utnil four this morning. No more coffee for me!

Must be accountable
Today I've eaten an entire package (not an entire box, mind you, but a plastic package) of Ritz. Now I know I'm not allowed to buy my kids Ritz anymore because I can't stay away from them. Sorry kids, you suffer because Mommy is fat. Ritz are bad for them anyways. :P
Food wise, I've had the Ritz, a Granny Smith apple and a banana today. Granted, it's only 2 o'clock, so more food is to come. I think I'll have a kale/avocado salad for dinner. I ate about half of mine last night before getting full.
Oh yeah, and last night I had some brie on crackers. It was delicious. So there. :P Okay, yes...I know it's bad, and yes...I feel guilty about it. Does that make you feel better?
Water...not so good. I really must remember to put some water in the trays and stick them in the freezer. Ice water is yummy. Room temp water...not so much.
Did you see that my blog is featured on the front page of Extrapounds as one of the most active blogs? Yeah, that's because I sit my ass on this chair and don't do exercise. Somehow, I'm not seeing that as much of an accomplishment. LOL
Speaking of that thing that shall not be named that makes me sweaty, I didn't get my elliptical into my room yesterday. I probably won't today, either. Ugh.

GOING TO DO IT!!!!
So, today's goal is to clear out a space in my bedroom for my elliptical. It's been sitting in my garage since I got it. I WILL get it out of the garage. I WILL get it into my bedroom, and I WILL use it!
I was watching a show the other day and it was about a woman who was losing weight. One of her rewards for losing weight was that she was going to learn how to kayak. She was still overweight, but had lost quite a bit of weight, so she went to take a kayaking lesson. She looked at the kayak, realized that she wouldn't even fit in it and was really upset. That episode got me thinking about the kids of things I enjoy doing. I used to LOVE hiking. I LOVED kayaking. I LOVED swimming. I LOVED bike riding. I LOVED water skiing, I LOVED white water rafting. When I was thin, while I didn't like EXERCISING, I loved being active. Forced exercise was never enjoyable to me, but fun activity was. I also really enjoyed raquetball, tennis, etc. I can't do those things now because I'm out of shape and overweight. I can lose the weight, but really, losing the weight isn't going to make it so I can ride a bike without getting tired, kayak around without my arms feeling like they're going to fall off, help me get up on those skis, etc. I also need to get in shape. Sadly, getting in shape requires exercise. lol So, exercise is no longer going to be viewed as something I need to do to lose weight. It's going to be viewed as something I need to do to be able to do the things I want to do when I've lost weight. Obviously, weight loss isn't a big enough motivator to get me exercising, otherwise my elliptical would already be in my room. Being able to do those activities just may be, though. :)
Food today: 6 Ritz crackers.
Ummm, yeah. Not doing so well today. lol

What's that I see?
Wait...what's that I see on my weight loss graph? Why, that would be a three pound weight loss...that's what it is!

Food today
So, food log for today:
Breakfast: I don't think I had anything
Lunch: Zucchini Feta casserole, which is made of bulgar wheat, zucchini (no, really?) feta cheese, tomato, and a bunch of yummy seasonings. All organic, all wonderful. :)
Snack: Three bites of Drake's brownie cake. (Ummmm, can I claim it was healthy because it was organic? lol Yeah...didn't think so)
Pre dinner: Yes, there is such thing as a pre dinner :P Two pieces of sushi
Dinner: 1/2 organic pineapple and some sesame toful drops
The tofu drops are made from organic tofu, organic tamari, sesame oil, organic sugar, organic garlic, ginger, organic green onion, red bell pepper, chili flakes, organic sesame seeds. I know this because I'm reading it straight off the Jimbo's label. LOL Have I mentioned how much I love Jimbo's? LOL
The family is having this yummy orange glazed ginger chicken with couscous that I made them. I'm not because the sauce has too much sugar in it. :(
I didn't do very good with raw today. I have signed up for a *gulp* 100 day raw challenge, starting August 1st, so that's when you should start seeing videos from me and you can see how skinny my face gets from day 1 to *gulp* 100. If you want to join me, you can sign up at http://www.rafu.com Come on, you know you want to!
Weigh in tomorrow. I'll report back!

Veggies
So, I've decided that I'm not eating enough veggies. I can eat fruit until the cows come home, but veggies...they're still something I struggle with...hence the kale salad for dinner last night. So, my goal for today is to eat more veggies. I have enough ingredients for two or three more kale salads, so that's probably what I'll have for lunch and a snack. Kale is so super good for you and I actually like the taste of it, so that's good. I need to get back into making green smoothies. I have SO much frozen fruit that would be excellent for smoothies. I don't know why I'm not doing it. It's not like there is a lot of prep or clean up. I just haven't gotten back into it.
Anyways, so far on today's menu are two pluots, a little bag of organic baby carrrots, and I think I'm going to eat a black velvet apricot. Oh, and as for my review of those...I don't really like apricots. I'll eat them, but they're not my favorite. The black velvet variety leave me feeling the same.

Dinner
So, I made my family this DELICIOUS dinner tonight...and didn't eat any of it. lol I actually could have eaten it because it was pretty healthy, but I'm really trying to avoid meat. Instead, I had a kale and avacado salad. Rather than explaining how it was made, I'll just insert the youtube video I got it from:
I didn't add anything to it but an heirloom tomato. It was pretty good. Oddly enough, my kids liked it more than I did! lol
Tonight, I also had some raw chocolate and will probably have some raw chocolate ice cream. It's nice when you don't have to feel like treats are bad for you. In fact, the raw chocolate is VERY VERY VERY good for you! It's no wonder 6 pieces cost almost $10! Yikes!

Maybe I'm just really hungry...
but this bar I'm eating is DELICIOUS!!! It's a "Go Raw" bar. It's 100% organic and 100% raw. It's their granola bar. Here are the ingredients:
Spouted Organic Buckwheat Groats
Sprouted Organic Sunflower Seeds
Sprouted Organic Flax Seeds
Sprouted Organic Sesame Seeds
Organic Raisins
Organic Date
It's delicious. The only other bar of this brand I've had is their spirulina bar, which is also VERY yummy!
So, if you see one, grab it. They're good!
