Thoughts on food
So, I've been thinking about the things I've been eating lately and while I haven't been eating all that well, I've been missing a key factor in things. Well, I haven't been missing it, so much as just not noticing it. I might be eating crap, but I'm eating a WHOLE LOT LESS crap than usual. Take last night, for instance. Cole was sleeping, so I ate the hamburger I bought for him. Later, I was really upset with myself for eating that hamburger. But, really...before I started trying to lose weight (well, this time, anyways) I would have not only eaten that hamburger, but I would have had my own...and curly fries, and a large soda, before it. For lunch, I had a breaded chicken breast strip that I had made for Allie. I shouldn't have eaten it. But, I didn't have a whole plateful like I would have before.
How do you like my justifications for eating crap? Are they working for you? lol Yeah, not so much for me, either, but I still thought it was interesting.
Add to yesterday's food 12 pieces of spicy tuna roll. My goodness I love sushi. I really need to get to Mitsua (the semi local Japanese market) and get some tuna. I'm spending WAY too much on sushi these days. I need to start making my own again.
Okay, for today: I have my breakfast sitting in front of me right now...two wraps. Each are made with 1/2 an avocado, 1/4 cucumber and three slices of tomato. They don't sound very appetizing. I ran out of sprouts again. :( I'll probably have some fruit after this because I'm really feeling like I need some fruit. I think I'll have one of those black velvet apricots I bought yesterday! :D
Oooh, want to hear a funny story, completely not weight loss related? No? Too bad:
The other night I got very little sleep. (About two hours) I couldn't sleep, so I decided to start knitting the sweater I'm planning on giving my sister for Christmas. So, four hours of knitting and I'm finally ready to go to sleep. The next day I was in a complete fog all day. I was SO tired. I sat down and continued knitting on the sweater. I knit for about two more hours (so, all total, six hours) and that's when I noticed it. You know how you have two arms (well, if you don't, I'm sorry for being so incredibly insensitive as to assume you do), one on the right and one on the left? (Again, if you don't...sorry!) Well, that's how sweaters are supposed to look as well, right? Sadly, this one didn't. This one had two sleeves on the right and none on the left. You see, my sister doesn't have two right arms. In fact, she has a right AND a LEFT arm. Six hours of knitting down the drain. *sigh
