Before After

Bah

So, I made the mistake of not eating before we went to the fair last night.  Like the fair was going to have something healthy to eat or something. LOL  I mean, don't get me wrong...they had zucchini...deep fried.  They had potatoes...deep fried.  They had corn...I don't think it was deep fried, but there was something VERY unhealthy looking about it. lol  They had turkey legs, that while not deep fried, are still 32 points from Weight Watchers, so you KNOW there's something terrible about them.

So, I ended up with some fudge (just a little, I swear!) some beef jerky and some orange julius.  Not too bad.  I didn't get the deep fried twinkie!  On the way home, I was SO tired (it was past midnight) but I was SO hungry.  The thought of having to make myself somethig was very unappealing, so I stopped off at Jack in the Box and Drake and I split some chicken breast pieces and some egg rolls.  Yeah, deep fried death.  I may as well have eaten at the fair!  I did a tremendous amount of walking though and drank a lot of water, so that's good.

I think we're going back to the fair on Friday and I'm planning on going by myself on Saturday.  One of my favorite tv personalities, Sara Snow, is going to be speaking there on Saturday and I'm dying to go see!  Plus, it's the day of the "envirofair."  I'm really excited to go and learn more about sustainable living and other things of the sort.

From the fair website:

Among the attractions will be:

  • Exhibitors with environmentally friendly products

  • Eco-Fashion Show with great-looking clothes made from easily renewable fibers such as bamboo

  • Non-profit organizations helping us learn new ways to take better care of our world

  • Informative speakers Please scroll down for the schedule.

Sara SnowSara Snow, star of "Living Fresh" and "Get Fresh with Sara Snow" on the Discovery Channel, will be our special guest speaker. Sara was born into a family that has always been environmentally conscious, so for her, a solar-energy-powered home and organic food was just the normal way of life in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

After graduating from Butler University with a degree in theater performance and another in telecommunications, she planned a career in television news. Or sports.

But after a few years in the hectic world of television news, she was ready to get back to the simpler life she lived as a child. In 2005, she created the concept for a lifestyle TV series about the things she learned growing up — eating organics, composting, recycling, natural cleaning and more. She signed with Discovery Communications, and the rest is, as they say, history.

Anyone want to come join me? :D

Today, food wise, I've done...ummmm....yeah.  I didn't eat breakfast, I didn't eat lunch.  I had a Skinny Cow ice cream and a Weight watchers ice cream bar for a snack, then two chimichangas for dinner.  Yeah, at this rate, I'll have GAINED weight by my next weigh in.  Ugh.  I need to be better and be less lazy. lol
