Regular Blog

Before I came to extra pounds I had a normal blog, and before I came back I created a blog on wordpress to chart my activity and calorie intake. I have not been strict on my calories or charting them, but I am taking one step at a time.

Starting Over

So I started losing weight in January 2008 deciding to start a new year with a new me. That lasted only a couple of months and I stopped walking and started eating way too much again. I wasn't motivated.

There are days now that I am still not motivated, and life happens. I don't get to work out 5 days week like I would like to, but I do better than I did before. I have decided this time to do it in "baby steps" taking one day and one week at a time. Sure I am going to have weak days, and strong days... but I can't let the weak ones get me down. I have to keep pushing on.

I have struggled with weight my entire life, as has my mother. I was taught the wrong behaviors for eating and weight loss from day one. But I am an adult and need to fight that learned behavior. I don't want to yo-yo my whole life and I can't pass the "sins" of my parents, especially my mother regarding weight loss to my son.

Here's to starting over and taking it one day at a time.
