Glad when today is over.
I'll be glad when today is over, when the torture of being at a party with all that food/temptation is gone. It'll just be the regular torture of being around food in my house tomorrow. HaHaHaHa.
Hopefully I'll be burning fat as I resist eating all that superbowl party food.

Back down
Back down to 198 again! I am excited to be on the way down again. From here I will make sure not to take in too much broth because of all the sodium in it. I made that mistake last time and my weight jumped up 5-10 pounds. Eek.
Since May, I am down 47 pounds. Since December, I am down 37 pounds. Its funny how we keep mental track of our weight even when we've gained weight. I can't wait to be at my goal and when I see that photo of myself, saying "that's when I weighed 140!"
Juicing is really tough, but the results are worth it. It's a "reboot" to your system. Not only do you lose lots of weight fast, but more importantly when you aren't eating for days on end, your body stops craving unhealthy foods. You start craving salads, fruits and vegetables. That's great because I love my pizza and sweets. In the last month, I have been craving healthy foods. Never thought that was going to happen.
I saw a quote I like from Drew Carey who lost 88 pounds eating low carb. He ran a race and celebrated by having ice cream and 2 pizzas. He felt so physically sick and gained a few pounds. He posted a sign on his bathroom mirror that said, "Bad food is not a reward."

Better today
Today went better than yesterday. I had to eat a little to take some Advil. I decided after that I would try a heating pad next time and hope that works instead.
Hopefully in a few days the scale will go down at least 3 or more pounds. Going to work out tomorrow.
Hanging in there for now.

A reminder to myself
This post is for me to look at and remind myself to stay focused.
It will be worth it.
The juice will help me reach my health goals and healthy weight.
I'm going to feel so good and be at my goal in just a few months by sticking to my plan.
By sticking to my plan, in just a month to a month and a half I will be "overweight" no longer and about 35 pounds from my goal weight.
I have come this far and CAN DO IT!
Remember the start of my journey right after my youngest son was born and I was at 278 pounds, my highest weight ever? Think of how that felt, and how I would die to be 202 pounds, what I am now. Feel good about what you've lost, and know you're not that far off from your goal compared to what you were at the start. Don't over-think this, and just continue with the plan.
It will be worth it!!!! (All the suffering, hunger, anger, sadness, you name it) After all, it was much sadder to sit around at 278 feeling sorry for myself and feeling weak. Don't let the sadness keep you from trying. I no longer feel half as scared as when I started this journey. I do feel kind of scared sometimes when I think of going below 185, which was the lowest I got to a few years ago. I don't know why--I think it's because I don't want to fail. I'm scared of failing.
I feel different this time because I know for sure I'll get to my goal. I know I will get there in just a few months. Just keep working at it.

The Honeymoon is Over
OK, the honeymoon is over. The honeymoon feeling of the "new diet," that is felt at the start of a new program is now over. I hit this point with every diet I try. Mostly it's because it take so much energy to sustain weight loss. It nearly breaks me feeling hungry all the time. Especially when the scale slows in moving downward.
Anybody else at this point yet? I'm feeling frustrated, and angry. That's ok with me as long as I stick to the program.
GRRRRRRRRR!

back to eating and juicing
I'm finished with the juice only part of my diet for a bit. I'm not eating fruits, vegetables, and occasionally lean protein. Due to adding food back in, I've gained a few pounds, but that is what normally happens when you switch from an all liquid diet back to eating solids.
I've never gone that many days without food (about 15 days). Phew. I don't know how those guys on Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead did 60 days of juice only...I don't seem to be that tough. Either that, or it's that they were facing a heart attack and I wasn't when starting...

smaller shorts :)
I just went out and bought a new pair of Nike Tempo shorts. I fit (barely!) into a medium. :) I'm so happy about that because my Large Nike Tempo shorts were really tight 7 months ago.
I don't feel medium sized for as much as I weigh. At least I went down a size though. :)

So hard to diet
It doesn't matter what diet I am on, they're all hard. I know it's not going to be easy, but man is this hard. I keep waiting for it to get easier or the days to go by faster, but they don't.
I'm tired of this 60 day journey, and am not anxious to end it, because at the end of the juicing/cleansing, I'll be eating whole foods and limited whole grains/lean proteins. I will always have to be worried about what the scale says whether thin or fat. That's not fun. I just hope I'll find excitement in looking at 140 pounds when I get there.

Can I get a Woot Woot?!?
I'm cheering because I woke up, and weighed myself. I'm 200 pounds, down 5 pounds in 2 days! My BMI is no longer "obese." Yay!
I had a really rough couple of days, and was really hungry and angry yesterday. I made it through. Sometimes, just can't wait to go to bed at night and not be thinking about losing weight every moment I'm awake.
Ha--I found out that the mint tea I'm drinking isn't caffiene free. Oops, I thought mint tea was caffeine free. The Moroccan mint tea is green tea. The Peppermint tea is caffeine free. Maybe that's why I was so hungry yesterday and the day before?
Good luck to everyone this week who's improving their eating/excercising!
Stay strong and it will be worth it. The scale will go down!

looser clothes :)
I am down 20 pounds this morning and can definitely notice in the mirror that my clothes are looser and looking better. This balloon is deflating! :)
It has all been worth it. I can't wait for the next 20 pounds to come off!
Fortunately I don't have cravings, it's just at dinner time when everyone's eating my home cooked meals that I feel the worst. Oh well, it won't be forever that I'm doing this. (Although at times it feels like forever).
