I Broke My Ankle!
Okay, not really, but I do have a nasty stress fracture. Good lesson about stopping an activity if it hurts... I got it from running. Now the doctor says I can't run for a couple of months and shouldn't even walk much. He said riding bike is fine- has anyone ever used biking to lose weight? Has anyone ever had a stress fracture and, if so, what's the healing like? My ankle hurts a million times less than the last couple of weeks- it was really bad for a while.
I've also been spending time working on my garden- my BF and I really don't know anything about gardening but we love vegetables so we're giving it a try! It's a fun little hobby, even if our whole garden turns to shit (it is full of ants... uh oh).
Spring is a great time- there's so much more to do outside- it's a great time to turn off the TV and enjoy the weather. Last night I actually stood up Grey's Anatomy to sit outside and read a book with my pets. Tonight we're going to get ready for a garage sale we're bringing some stuff to on Saturday. Hopefully we'll get rid of some of the crap that's clogging up our garage.
I want to cook my mom a Mother's Day meal on Sunday- any menu suggestions? She's also trying to lose weight, so preferably something healthy. She eats meat but I don't so if it includes meat it has to be easy enough for me to make... no roasts or anything!
