Before After

not quitting

Ok, I know this is about the time when most people start giving up on their New Year's resolutions.  I realize that this is a lifestyle change and not a temporary "diet."   So I'm taking another deep breathe and moving forward.

I did gain 2/10ths of a lb this week but I know it's because of my food choices and that time of the month.

So let's focus on the positives since the beginning of the year - I still lost 8 lbs and I have increased my physical activity and tapered my eating intake.

Let's keep moving forward.  Hang in there everyone.

Slowing down

Only .8 weight loss but I'm happy with that.  I switching from the Special K diet to Weight Watchers.  I need to become disciplined again writing down what I eat to track point and/or calories.

I have been diligent about my exercise so I'm proud of that fact.

I watched the Biggest Loser on Tuesday and I was sad to see the pink team go because Betty Sue was a funny character.

Hang in there everyone.

Lost over 8 lbs in 2 weeks

So after 2 weeks on the Special K diet, I lost a little over 8 lbs where they advertised that you would lose 6 lbs.  So I'm very pleased!

This next week I'll be at my parents which will be a challenge.  My goal is to keep my calorie intake to around 1500 calories.

Thanks to everyone for your support.

Down 6 lbs in one week

Yahoo!  After 1 week on the Special K diet, I lost 6 lbs.  I was thrilled!

We're continuing on the Special K diet one more week.  It gets tough around the 4 - 6 PM.  It makes the diet tolerable to look forward to a full meal by the end of the day.

Also, I'm continuing w/ exercise 45 - 60 minutes every day.

THe show "The Biggest Loser" is motivating to watch every Tuesday night.  Keeps us going.

Week 2 of Special K diet

Ok, we're now into week 2 of the Special K diet.  My partner and I took Saturday off and counted pts following the Weight Watchers plan.  It was enough of a break to make us get through week 2.

Tonight is the first workout in boot camp - it goes on for 6 weeks.  ALso, I'm continuing to work out 45 - 60 minutes a day.  The TurboJam DVDs are fun and challenging.

Tomorrow I'm weighing in and we'll see how the first week went.

Starting Special K Diet

We're off - day 1 of Special K Diet.  We were pretty hungry by the end of the day but it was helpful to keep busy - building a workbench in the basement was the project for the day.

Also, I increased my exercise to 1 hr per day and hopefully I can squeeze in a few more minutes throughout the day.  Every little bit has to help.  Today I did the Biggest Loser Low Cardio workout and the TurboJam 15 min Learn and Burn workout.

Yesterday I went to a website to do a "virtual model" to compare what I look now to what I WILL look like when I reach my goal weight.  It was fun.  Give it a try www.mvm.com.  You can customize the hair, height, weight, younger or older looking.  Pretty cool.

Experimenting

Today I'm just experimenting with this web site.  Looks pretty cool.  Getting geared up for 1/1/2008.  L and I are going to do the Special K diet for the first 2 weeks then we plan to follow the Weight Watchers program on-line.
