What am I doing wrong?

No matter what I do, it seems I can't lose weight. I just maintain. Granted I lost 3 pounds this week, but I think it is only because I was finishing off AF last week.

I work out, I've cut my portions, I don't eat horribly. No sweets or anything. I gave up my coffee and sweet tea. I don't know what else to do. I've upped my sit ups from 70 to 110. I have also upped my weights at the gym.

What am I doing wrong?

Cake

April and May are such hard times for food. We have so many birthday parties to go to. Which means lots of good food and then the evil cake and ice cream. SO far I have held off. I didn't even have any cake at my own daughter's birthday party (only because it got eaten before I had a chance to slow down and get a peice, LOL). I didn't have any last week. But this weekend I might crack. I mean, I have been so good. Don't I get a break?

I have actually been doing pretty good. I finally started losing weight again, till AF showed up. Witch. I didn't gain, but I maintained. I was looking forward to logging a lose. Oh well. Next Monday for sure. AF is already on her way out and I am down a pound. I need to kick her to the curb.

So wish me luck and strength this weekend. It is also Memorial weekend. Lots of things going on. We are finishing the major touches on the house to get it ready to put on the market. Painting is good excercise. Hehe

Samller Portions

Well, I am not a cold turkey kind of girl. So I have started with eating less Edemame. So far so good. I was eating a bag a day. Now I only allow myself a bag a week. It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't add all the salt that I do.

I have also started with decreasing my portions. Or at least, not going back for seconds. I LOVE food. Seriously. I eat it till I am so full only because I like the taste. So now I am paying more attention to my tummy then my taste buds. I am stopping myself sooner. Not going back for seconds and not finishing everything on my plate if it is huge. I already am noticing a difference.

Monday I am starting a Biggest Loser Competition. I am really hoping this helps me be more accountable. Plus I have finally found a good time to go to the gym. In the evenings after I put the girls down for bed. DH is busy watching baseball, so I can go and work out and not wory if they girls are crying in the daycare. I was able to get to the gym 4 times this week. I am loving it.

I am trying. I really am.

Easter is Over

Man, I gained weight from all that good Easter Food yesterday. Yum. But shame on me.

My girls and DH got really really sick Thursday-Saturday. So I was too busy taking care of them. Then Easter yesterday just messed me up. So back on track this week. I promise. I can't believe I gained. UGH!

Must be held accountable

There has been some things going on with weight loss lately. Luckily, it brought me to this site. I think I really need to be held accountable for what I am eating. For instance, this morning I had an english muffin with peanut butter and a bag of Edemame. Oh, and don't forget the S'mores granola bar. UGH!

So if I plan to lose this weight by DH's 40th birthday that we are spending in Vegas, I need to do something proactive.

I am nursing and taking Domperidone to help my supply. However, i think I am going to stop the Domperidone. I think it is what is causing me to eat so much. I love food, but I don't normally eat this muchand am hungry ALL the time.

So wish me luck. I have about 7 months to lose about 30 pounds. Can I do it?
