Well, I had been debating about stepping up to week 4 all weekend. I think I have been holding myself back a little, I seem to have a mental block that I can't reach or go over 3 minutes. So, I took the plunge. The set involves the 5 minute walk at either end, with two sets of 3 min run, 90 seconds walk, 5minutes run, 2.5 minutes walk. Well, I didn't finish it properly, but I am still very pleased with myself. I finished the 32 minutes, but my running was 3mins (complete), 4 minutes ( only 1 short), 3 minutes (complete) and 2 minutes (3 short). So I did 12 minutes out of 16 which isn't bad at all. There is a lot less walking this week, and it is noticable. I believe I'll be on this week a bit longer than one week, but we will see I guess, you never know.
Diet wise, I had another slack weekend. I weighed myself this morning, and naturally it has gone up a bit, but not too much. I fed the remainder of the cake to the dogs so there is no temptation in the house. I am hpoing the upped exercising will knock that back down quickly.
We have a house guest this weekend for the holidays, and I am hoping to get a bit more off, if only to cadge a compliment or two....and help with my easter egg payback.
Todays trip to the gym was very wearing. I felt so weak!!! I got half way through the rower set and I felt like giving up, but I didn't. And then when I got on the eliptical I felt like giving up after the first minute, but I didn't. So I didn't give up, I finished my routine!
I have ordered myself a new sports bra, a definate must as the girls bounce quite a bit now my old one is getting bigger!
I have now completed week three of C25K, but I think I am going to repeat it, to at least monday. I can run the 3 minutes, but it is a bit of a struggle so another couple of days will do me good I think.
Next on the list of things to get are some new shorts or trousers, the cotton capris are getting a bit big, then it will be the trainers.
Despite having a slightly naughty weekend, yet again, I have lost weight!
Aunt Flo's bloating has gone and taken a bit more with it. Thinking back, the weekend wasn't that bad, just uncharted. Anyway, I am now down 10.4 kilos (despite what the graph says!) so thats 22.92 pounds! woohoo! And it got better.......I am wearing my old size 20 jeans!!!!!!!! They did up with ease!
I went to the gym early this morning, I was there at 6.45 cranking up the treadmill! I am off to the garage to get the cars mot done, so I thought I'd go while dh was still here so I am only leaving the mutleys once today, or twice if I do go to my tutorial. I think I might, if the weather improves, at least thats what I said this morning when it was blowing a gale and chucking it down with rain. Now the rain has stopped, so I think the big fella upstairs wants me to go.
I finished the set! Week three baby! I think though, being realistic, I may have to reapeat this week, but I guess we will see next thursday! Anyway, I did it, only just, but none the less I completed the session! Very pleased with myself, and I even got a complememt at the gym! The ladfy who I always chat with said I am really starting to show a difference now, I have a waist!!! I have just mweasured myself, but it wasn't too great actually, but then AF is here, and its not cpmpletely accurate anyhow. But I am going to work with a spring in my step and a smile on my face! Actually, it'll be interesting to see how my uniform fits, its been 3 weeks since I wore it!
Its funny, I was telling my instructor that I had until thursday to get a bit more used to to week two...well that was yesterday!!!!
So this week, its 90 seconds running, 90 seconds rest, 3 minutes running and 3 minutes resting, then repeat once. Well, I finished the first round, but missed out on the second by 40 seconds. I just couldn't keep it up. But, considering it is the first day of aunt flo's visit, I thought I did brilliantly. I always feel a bit weak and crappy to put it bluntly.
On the diet front, well the scales are a bit up and down as expected at this time, but I have just made a batch of hot cross buns, so I must be strong!!!!
...yep, its time. I am upping my rowing to 20 minutes to try and increase my cardio workout. I need to to make my running easier.
I am also being a bit more energetic in myself lately too, maybe the reduction in my weight is the cause. I am zipping around a bit more, and I even mowed the grass for the first time this year yesterday. I've just hoovered at 4.45pm, normally I would have said to myself, hey its nearly evening, why bother, it'll still be there tomorrow!
Well, I did go off plan yesterday, but at least this time I had an excuse! I went dwon south to see Mum, and all the family. We had Sunday dinner at Mum and Dad's which was ok, apart from the mince pie pudding and the elevnsies doughnut and not forgetting the tea time slice of cheese cake no matter how small it was!
However, back on track today. The scales didn't like me this morning, but I did have a cup of tea in bed from my darling husband, and of course yesterdays calorie overload! The gym went well today though. Really well actually. I thinkI was tired towards the end of last week, and didn't feel tip top. But today, the session was ok, I sweated a lot but I'm not my ususal shade of beetroot! I did put the treadmill down to 3.4mph when walking, instead of 3.6, maybe that helped me get back on top between each round. Just going to measure myself now, see whats going on.
