Jogging update

just a quick update, I jogged two and a half miles on friday last week, and then on sunday i did a total of 4 miles, i jogged two, walked 0.5, jogged 0.5, walked 0.5, jogged 0.5 and even did a sprint for the last little bit.

Less than a week to go, and I want to get two more jogs in. I will go down the gym tomorrow morning, and again on thursday and that will be it until the race on sunday!

Another year older!

Oh dear, 30 is now chasing me! I turned 29 yesterday, and  although I am not really bothered about it, it has made me think how long I have been overweight. I have only been "slim" (and by that I mean a UK size 16-18, thats slim to me) for about one year. Now that was the derpressing part.

Anyway, I had a good day yesterday despite not doing any exercise beside walking around the shopping centre, and eating a three course lunch topped with cheesecake!

But, today it has been back to it. I have just got back from the gym, and have just plugged in my iPod . I jogged 2.5 miles non-stop, and walked back to the gym to make 3 miles total. Then I did 1k on the rower, 6 minutes on the eliptical and 12 lengths on the pool. So now, I am going to have some lunch and go to work, and walk a mile or so around the supermarket.

Hmmm, scrambled eggs for lunch I think.......

exercise

I have been good today, I went to the gym, and did a 2 mile jog outside, then rowed 1k, and did about 20 lengths in the pool.

I have cheated on my food, but I have eaten a lot of veg so there was some godness in there.

downward spiral

I have been going down down down...but not in a good way.

I ate cakes, bicuits, big bars of chocolate and just about everything else I could get my hands on.

Anyway, I am back on track today and I jogged the driveway to the gym twice this morning. Thats 2 miles, and then I did 2k on the rower.

I have been good with my food too, I had a jacket potato for lunch with a whole tin of baked beans. It was a big lunch and filled me up rather than my usual picking on crisps and sandwiches that don't fill me for very long.

It got so bad, the bathroom scales didn't recognise me. That was a jolt I can tell you.

27 minutes

Yay! I pushed myself to 27 minutes, although it wasn't too much of a push.  I also did 2km's on the rower, I really need to keep that up, it has made a big difference on my toning up. I stopped, and I really noticed the change, and it wasn't for the better.

I stuck to the diet yesterday, although I did eat a bit of rubbish in the name of 2 packets of crisps last night, I still had 1.5 points left over afterwards though. I had a need for savoury stuff last night, weird for me, its usually sweet. I have rhubarb today, I picked another batch yesterday. I need to save enough points for sugar, its much better than that splender stuff. Its strange, some things are just worth the points, and others aren't.

today

forgot to say, I jogged my 26 mins again, and this time I sprinted for two minutes after that! I covered 4.02km, including fives minutes walk either end.

Getting back on track

The diet has gone hay wire again. The exercising has gone a little off too.

I cannot run everyday, I don't seem to be able to keep it up. My body seems to need the rest between runs to recover, maybe thats why I have been slow at building up my times since the beginning. So, I have started to jog mon/wed/fri and row tues/thurs. Its all I have time for at the moment. The weather is warmer and I just cant leave to dogs at the moment. In a week or two it may be different though.

I sent out my sponsorship emails last night, I am dissapointed that I haven't got anything yet. Two have said no straight out which is sad. They are both sponsoring someone else though so I suppose its not that bad.

26 minutes!

yep, I have zoomed through weeks six and seven and heading for week eight!!!!!

I hit 25 minutes twice, then today I kept it going for that extra minute. Maybe tomorrow I can add on another one!

I just wish the diet was going as well as the exercising! Its not that I am eating masses or eating too much rubbish, but just enought to mess everything up. SO, I haven't completed a daily food record for agea and ages. Being fat sucks!

20 minutes

yay! I have reached 20 minutes of non stop jogging! I have done it twice now, so its time to extend it again! Although I am no longer really doing the C25K as such, it would mean I have finally finished week 5, man it only took me about a month and a half! Nevermind though, I did it! Thats what matters! I have about 5 weeks now to get my time up before the race. I also need to get started on my sponsorship or I'll run out of time. No pun intended...honest. I have to think of a prize for the sweepstake I want to do at work. I guess a voucher would be good, or alcohol!

last few days

hows it been going? well the diet hasn't been too great, and neither has the exercise regime. But, it hasn't been too bad either. I went to the gym on Sunday, then didn't go again until today, but I have been active. I have cycled 10 miles twice now, and I have been working in the garden too as the weather is fantastic. So, I think the name of the game is stability, I am about the same!
