the good, the bad and the ugly....

...that descibes my last 24 hours quite well.

The good was my session at the gym this morning. I did ten minutes on the bike, then walked half a mile to warm up. Then I jogged a whole 5 kilometers straight out. I haven't actually done that since the Race for Life last month. I was a seriously sweaty betty after that, but I felt so damn good! I even sprinted the last 0.2 miles at 6mph.

The bad, was the chocolate bar I ate last night. Enough said.

The ugly, well I guess that would be the breakfast I just had. It was wasn't that it was overly fatty, but still high in WW points.

Oh well. Ce la vie.

Now i am going to relax for the rest of my sunday. I haven't done that for quite some time. We are going to try and have a bbq later on. However I'm not sure that the weather is going to comply. I can see a bit of black sky from where I am sitting.

Oh well. Ce la vie.

I am going to do a bit of surfing to find a good training plan, but I do think I will  simply up my distance every week. If I aim to increase it by even a quarter of a mile a week I will be prepared my the race. I do need to find a site to do some outside work though. I was thinking of looking for a seaside route like one of the gym instructors said he did.

don't worry about it

so you had a chocolate bar and a good breakfast. So what. Were they good? I'm sure they were. The point is, you were already at the gym and had a good workout.  Everyone needs a chocolate bar and a greaser brekky every now and again. Don't beat yourself up about it.

Use it as a treat, and you may even be pleasantly surprised at your weigh in this week. When I was doing WW, when I had one day where my points were high, but the rest of the week was good, it shook up my system, and I always had a great week. In fact, I believe there's a "plan" modeled on that. It's called the Wendie plan. It's on the net. But don't ask the WW people about that.  it's all about point cycling, which isn't a new concept. You go up and down the points ladder each week. Kinda neat, and I found it works.

so hang in there!
