BMI
I survived the steroids without gaining weight, thank god, and while I can't report the loss of POUNDs I am happy to report that my BMI has gone from 32 to 29 since I started dieting! And the pair of Levi's 515s that I forced myself into a couple of weeks ago now go on with ease. Woo hoo!! I'm going to wear them this weekend. I got DH tickets to see Larry the Cable guy for his birthday, so we're leaving tomorrow to spend the night in Oklahoma City. What fun! A night away from my MIL with dinner out, a pool, a lounge, free wireless internet, and none of the concerns of home. What more could a person ask for? Two nights maybe?? Oh well, I'll settle for what I can get. Hope everyone has a good weekend and I'll check in on you when I get back! :)

Just checking in
No news to report, really. Just checking on my EP buddies and saying hi. I havent' lost anything this week, but I haven't gained either. Its been a real struggle too cause my doctor gave me steroids for my neck and they are making me HUNGRY!!!! I've been trying to stick to the 100 calorie snacks though, so hopefully that will at least help me stay where I'm at for now and not gain anything back. 25 pounds!
I'm not sure how, but the scale said 182.4 today. I'm still having problems with my neck and have been taking steroids so I've really been expecting a weight gain instead of a weight loss, but hey, I'll take it. Hope everyone else is doing well too. I'll write more later. Have a great day!

I'm still here
Finally got rid of that nasty vacation weight! Yea!!! Maybe now I can move onward and downward. I'm having problems with my neck, shoulder, arm, and hand lately. They hurt, tingle, burn, cramp and do all kinds of crazy things. My work (typing medical reports) makes it worse and Ive been feeling so bad at night lately that I haven't wanted to go near the computer to post, but I'm still here. I've also temporarily stopped going to water aerobics as swinging my arm back and forth through the water seems to irritate it. I'm going to continue with my diet, though, and just coast along until the doc figures out what my problem is. Hope everyone else is doing well. I'll talk to you soon!

No more vacations
Its amazing how easy it is to fall off the wagon. I went to my parents house in north central Missouri for 4 days and had a wonderful time -- too wonderful. Aside from mom's home cooked meals, I had 2 different types of wonderful cookies that various aunts made, cherry pie, and birthday cake and icecream. When I got home Monday night, the scale said 190. Luckily, it was night, I was partially dressed, and surely had retained some water during the 10 hour drive. I ended up with a 1.6 pound surplus but have already lost the 0.6 part. Sent an email to mom that said "Had a great time, gained 5 pounds, never coming back again" but of course that was a lie. :-) So back to the grindstone - working constantly, dieting, and water aerobics 3 times a week - and hopefully to lose that pound and 25 more. Wish me luck!

The empress' new clothes
I bought new jeans today - size 12's! They remind me of the ones you might have worn if you were a teenager in the 70s, kind of hip-huggery, bell-bottomish (are those really words?)
The style is probably way too young for me, but you know what? They were on sale and they FIT and I'm gonna were them for a while just cause I can!

Happy Valentine's Day!
I made my min-goal. This morning I weighed 185.4. I'm pulling clothes out of the closet right and left that are too big. I pulled a pair of jeans off the hanger yesterday and thought they must be my husband's ( they looked so BIG!) but the were actually a pair of my old 16s! I'm giving all of these little treasures away as fast as I can cause I never want to see 16 again! Water aerobics seems to be helping too. My new goal is 180 with no specific deadline. I'm going home at the end of the month and would like to be 182 by then so I can tell everyone I've lost 25 pounds, but we'll see how that goes. Hope everyone's having a great day!

Twenty pounds!
I'm not exactly sure how this happened but when I weighed this morning the scale said 187.2!! I had to check it twice to make sure I wasn't seeing things. That officially makes my weight loss 20 pounds!! My 14s are getting loose on me, so soon I will be able to buy some new 12s! This has been a VERY good day! I'm off to water aerobics in a few minutes. Hope everyone else has a wonderful day too!

188 - Woo hoo! Woo hoo! Woo hoo!
Rembember Daffy duck doing handsprings and yelling "woo hoo"? That's me today. I FINALLY broke 189! I'm so excited. I also finally got to go to water aerobics last night. It was not nearly as cold as I thought it would be and the hour just flew by! I really need to make a habit of going every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
It was 75 degrees in SW Oklahoma today, the first nice day in forever. I took advantage of it by walking around the reservoir. Its only a mile, but I enjoyed the time alone with just my MP3 player and the ducks. All in all, this has just been a really great day and I feel really MOTIVATED. Hope you all had a good one too!

Finally!
I finally made it to water aerobics, which was my New Year's resolution! Had a good work out and I feel GREAT. Aside from the weight loss aspects, it is good for my arthritis pain, so my new resolution is to KEEP going (fingers crossed)!
