Before After

The empress' new clothes

I bought new jeans today - size 12's!  They remind me of the ones you might have worn if you were a teenager in the 70s, kind of hip-huggery, bell-bottomish (are those really words?)    The style is probably way too young for me, but you know what?  They were on sale and they FIT and I'm gonna were them for a while just cause I can!  Have a good day everybody!

How cool is that!

I didn't go a size down in numbers, but I went from a wide to a medium.  I know how you feel.  You have fun wearing them!

Friends List

Sure, please do!  It's nice to be considered.

I was a teen in the 70's, too.  I worked in the Sears record department, so I got to listen to hard and soft rock, disco, etc.

My mom didn't let us wear jeans.  And hiphuggers might as well have been a swear word.  If she knew what I was listening to while I was working at Sears, she would have made me change jobs, I know it.  While everyone was wearing mini skirts, I wore midi skirts and bobbie socks.  Knee highs were a no-no.  And you'll laugh, but no tampons.  Modess only.  Good ol' mom and dad.  I love them dearly, although I wasn't too sure about it during my teens.

Take care.

im so jealous

hay girl , i am so jealous. i sure would like to see a 12 right now. and wearing the low waisted jeans is just a dream right now. I look like a plumber when I put on low waisted jeans, my belly hangs over and the butt falls off. so it will be a while for me. I was a teen in the 70's too I wore a size 9 jean and weighed 110 pounds which is a size 4 now. how is that possible. lol.   take care and you are doing fantastic

I am Jealous too, Great Job on the WeightLoss!

I remember wearing hiphugger elephant ear jeans which are wider at the bottom than bellbottoms when I was in my teens.  My only problem was I was built like a stick, no hips to hold my pants up.  I don't have that problem now!!! aaackkkkk!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the kind word on my EP blog, I plan to finish the coat tomorrow, had to rip out the hem and redo it. and finish up by adding buttons and buttonholes.  I will post a finished pic in a couple of days.
I wish you great success on reaching goals and I feel motivated again by reading of your success.

woohoo

congrats on the new jeans...(boot cut the word you are looking for?)  Isn't it great getting into a new size?  dont grow to attached to them cuz I am sure you won't be in them long.

Yay for skinny jeans!!

Thanks for the great post on my blog!!  Your right, its like x-mas all over again when we can finally fit into stuff we haven't fit into for months or even (in my case) years.

I love that you are in size 12's and are wearing the "hip" jeans of today!!  Your gonna be one hot mama wearing those jeans!!  Work em out!!  :o)

Great job on the weight loss so far!!  Your doing so great!

Haha

That's awesome!! Enjoy the new pants! :)

well.

just because you're looking hot in those 12's doesn't mean you can quit now!

there are still 10's and 8's out there with your name on em...

hope all is okay...come back and post...

Yay!

Size 12!  That's what's in my walk-in closet full of clothes that I can't wear!  I congratulate you because that's my goal, and if you can do it, so can I!

Who cares if the jeans are a "little young" for you?  If they fit, and you like them, that's all that matters!

Keep it up, let's see if you can make it to size 10!
