Before After

Sunny Saturday is here x

DH was up at 6am this morning going off to check on his empire  so I got myself out of bed and put the bed covers in the wash like a good girl (or stupid, one of the two )

It is lovely and sunny outside (see Brandi, I told you to cover over today !!) so I don't mind getting up when the day is mine and the sun is shining

I have had a herbal tea, but no brekkie cos I have my dance class at 9am.  I had my fish n chip craving last night, and do you know what !?!  It was such a co-incidence but my DH came in with the dinner and said he'd got me a piece of cod, and he had got a piece of cod's roe and a steak & onion pie !! How funny was that, after what I said, we were made for each other LOL!  So guess what we did - we shared the lot, half each of everything, how bad is that, but I tell you what, it was just how I'd imagined it - GORGEOUS

Poor DH was stuffed afterwards, which isn't a nice feeling.  Well, he had stopped off at the pub for a couple of pints wiht his mates before dinner, which I didn't do 'of course', cos I am a good girl  (sometimes x)

Anyway, I think I will read a bit more of my book, before sorting my bed head out and getting ready for the gym - if you're interested I'm reading 'Babyville' by Jane Green, I love her 'chick-flick' books

OK, you have a lovely day and we'll catch up tomorrow

Jxx

Oh Laundry!

I knew I forgot something today!!!

Glad you enjoyed your F&C indulgence!

Back problems

Are you sure it was caused by the running? I have bad knees that I have to look out for. I started running when I was 40 pounds heavier than I am now, so all that running really took its toll on my knees. Now I just manage the pain by stretching after every run and doing strengthening exercises. I ran my first half marathon a little over a year after I started running on a regular basis again. It was tough, but I did really great! Miles 9.5 through 13.1 sucked big time!!!! My 5K will be my 3rd race...its funny how they keep getting shorter! LOL But I plan to run a few more 10Ks and half marathons...I definitely do NOT strive to run a full marathon!! No thank you!

Anyway, my advice to you would be to start out slowly. Running 5 miles your first time out may not have been the best idea. Start by running 1 mile 3 or 4 days a week until you can run 2 miles easily...and stick with that until you can run for 3, etc. Eventually, you will want to be running about 4or 5 days a week, 3 to 4 miles each, and one longer run. For instance: Mon/Wed/Fri run 3-4 miles and then on Saturday or Sunday run 6 miles, then 8 the next Saturday, then 10, then 12. I'm too lazy right now to send you a link for a training schedule, but if you go to runnersworld.com you can find one there. Running is very addictive! But it can also come with a variety of potential injuries!!

It sounds like you and Lucie have met in person, is that correct? Shes funny. She says she can't even run 20 meters or something like that. I think she'd be surprised!

Alright, then! Vegas, baby! I really can't wait for my next trip! And I'm glad you enjoyed your dinner last night! How cute that DH went out to the pub with his mates! I imagine a pub on every corner in England....My distorted American visions! LOL

Hope your dance class was fun!

Hi Hun...

Glad you got your fish & Chips and then some,  and that it wasnt a disapointment sometimes when you look forward to something like that it doesnt always live up to its expectations.

Its so much better when the sun is shinning isnt it.

Speak soon

xx

Back and Back on Track

Good to hear you got your boss and others at work to listen to your view on the situation.  Hopefully it has some positive effects!

I am certain I have really put on a few in the last week and a half but I am determined to get back on track (although Ive already bought a huge slice of chocolate cake from the company bake sale  )  I WILL do better and be at goal for the end of May!  ready to enjoy my summer

Sounds like you are doing great with exercise and diet!  And what a difference, only gaining 1 lb when the home scale said 6!  1lb is definately worth the wonderful weekend away!

I'll have to check out that book.  I've been looking for something interesting but not too strenuous

haha....

guess what?!  Today there is sunshine!!!!  WOOT!  I'm glad your weekend was good.  That pie you were talking about sounded so good.  I hope you have a fabulous Monday Jules!  xoxo, Brandi

A half marathon...

....holy moly!  You are definately more motivated than me!  I would love to do something like that and feel the accomplishment that comes with it but it seems so overwhelming.  I've done a few 5ks and Im hoping to get a 10k in later in the season but I cant even imagine a half marathon.
