congrats!

congratulations on your loss!  it looks like you have come a long way!  keep up the good work!

Phew!!

That's me sorted then, phew -- thanks v.much :)

LOL .... joking aside, bl**dy hell, just goes to show what actually following the diet and sticking to it can do .. eek!

Ah well, at least you've kindly put 1.5lbs in the bag for me, and 1 to spare.

That's a great birthday present to yourself. Congratulations!!!!

Holy Macarole!

Four pounds is AWESOME!  Wow, all that committment to keeping track of your food really really paid off!  A few more weeks like that and you'll be out of the 10st's and to your new goal!  Think of once your back is healed and you are exercising again, your going to melt away!

Hmmmm ...

Well, it was my birthday back in September ... the following week was our wedding anniversary ... and the following week to that ... DH's birthday.

I decided that "Maintenance" through that period was my best hope, and if I gained an ickle bit, I wasn't too fussed. This meant reigning back when I could and letting go when I wanted.
Nett result for September .. hmmm ... right, back, just looked .. here goes my stats:

13/09 - WI - 9st 11.5lbs
11/10 - WI - 9st 12.5lbs
25/10 - WI - 9st 13lbs
01/11 - WI - 9st 10.5lbs

So, whilst in the short term I wasn't the biggest loser, overall in the longer term .... I "trod water" and finished celebrating to lose a bit ..... I think the key is to realise that there are going to be some weeks where you're going to be out and you want to enjoy the food, whatever it is, for what it is, and not whether or not it has less calories/sat fat than the other dishes, but to also weigh that up with the fact that you know that if you choose the heavier options, something has to give elsewhere.

So an aim to lose weight is great over your birthday w/e, but don't spoil your w/e either way by a) feeling deprived or b) binging everything in sight "just cos it's my birthday" and then feeling totally blah when you've gained. Moderation is the key ....

Oh hark at me, who is going to gain weight tomorrow!!! What do I know!

Yay

Woah yeah!!  I told ya you'd have a great loss, oh ye of little faith

Fab result, enjoy it!!!
