SUNDAY'S FOOD DIARY - GOD I'VE BEEN GOOD !! 21 points

I have been soooo good OP, I wonder if I can do 2 weeks in a row ??

DH Update = I caved in last night, as I went to bed at about 10.30pm I text him to say I don't like arguing with him.  We are both stubborn and I do not usually give in, but I can't be ar*ed with atmosphere's and unhappiness.  Did I get a reply - No !!!

This morning was 'quiet'.  I acted 'normal' - well those who know me will know what I mean, I acted as 'normal' as possible anyway   I offered DH a cup of tea, which he accepted, so that as a start.....

The plan was for him to take me to Specsavers as I had to have a sight test, and he was going to treat me to new glasses for my birthday (as they cost a blinking fortune !!)  I asked if we were still going to go together and he replied "why do I have to come?"   which confirmed my suspicions, I would be going on my own and not buying new glasses - fair enough.

Breakfast = 30g bran flakes 2.5 points

Snacks = 200g grapes 2 points

Once I was ready to leave he said he would take me - marvellous new glasses after all

I wore the new dress I bought yesterday, and was pleased with how it looked. I showed it off to him and told him that it only cost £5  "It looks like it does" he replied ....... arghhhh !!!!!    But I stayed calm =

We chose the glasses and got back in the car, I had no idea where we would be going after that, yet can you believe he took me to look at kitchens and fire places !!!! ???

Fan-bloody-tastic   My idea of the ideal Sunday afternoon  AND we agreed on what we 'both' liked - I'm getting somewhere - hoo-blinking-ray

Lunch = Jacket potato and tuna, 4.5 points

After the shock of him having to look at kitchens, cos he knew he 'had to' eventually, we stopped off for a pint.  Well, he had the pint and I had a diet coke - how good am I ?

Dinner - will be yet another meal out, but at a local fish restaurant, so that will be easy, although I may not be able to say no to their mash - I love mash

So, it looks as if DH & I are back on track again - until next time

I'll update my choice at the fish restaurant later - I can't believe how good I have been, I wonder what the scales will say on Wednesday ?  Still no exercise for me though, my back is still tender   I think I might have to walk that half marathon in October

Dinner Update - Water   Scallops 0.5 points.  Monkfish 5.5 points.  Mash Potato (I told you didn't I !) not alot, so 3 points.  Veg 0 points. Bread roll 2 points.

Total Points = 21 points

I hope you are all having a lovely Sunday

Bye for now

Oh dear ...

... they can be awkward cusses can't they!!  I know what you mean about giving in because you can't be ar$ed with the atmosphere ... happens all the time around here, but he knows full well why I've given in, and it ain't because he's right!  lol

Re glasses - have you seen www.glassesdirect.co.uk?  They're absolutely brilliant ... I get all of my glasses from there now, as do my family.  Definitely cheaper - and fun to get really cheap pairs to wear out too!  I know that my mum recommended it to a friend of hers who was deeply suspicious and needed very particular, tricky prescription ... she gave it a try, and someone came out especially to get it right, and she was absolutely thrilled with the result.  Saved a fortune too!  Man, I sound like an advert ....

I'm glad its..

Evening its self out a little?  Although I felt the dress comment was a little harsh what would he rather that you said "do you like it, it cost £50 (if in doubt add a nought!)

I hope your dinner out goes Ok

speak soon

xx

Walking...

Funny you should ask how I could walk after doing the run ... well, the answer initially was "absolutely fine", however having just spent 2hrs walking round the Trafford Centre, I now need a wheelchair, my knee is in agony!

Varifocals, oh dear ... ah well, at least you got DH to pay for them!! (did you claim you couldn't see the bill, LOL)

Dinner out .. again .. enjoy it ... we're running so late it's untrue, DD should've been in bed 12 mins ago, DH is just putting "emergency" dinner on for her ... pasta and tomato sauce.

I'm wittering, time for a brew .. have fun!
