Just back from the gym and having my WW toasted fruit loaf (2 slices, 2 points)
I did say I was going to do half an hour on the treadmill, probably about 2.5 miles. Well.... 'half hour on the treadmill' is easier 'said' than done I can tell you !
I have done it before, and got a great buzz from it, but I think I have been a bit slack just lately and my body and mind just couldn't deal with it this morning. But I did do 10 minutes (1 mile) then 5 minutes on the cross trainer and weights, then stretching
I enjoyed it actually. I did wonder if anybody would be there, considering I was outside at 6.25am waiting for it to open at 6.30am. It seems the older generation use it early on, before the 'beautiful people' arrive bless em xx
Oh god, I have just realised what I've said - does that make me part of the 'older' generation ??? Blimey, I won't be going at 6.30am again if thats the case, I'll wait till nearer closing time when the beautiful people go
I won't though, I will be there again tonight for Salsa-cise and again tomorrow morning, because my weekend will be filled with celebrations again, so I have to make the most of the gym before it starts
OK, time to get ready for work, I hope you all have a lovely day, the sun was shining at 6.30am

Eeek....
Congratulations on doing what you said you would.
6:30 .... I saw it briefly, I got up took some cold relief to stop my ringing ears and went back to sleep again! Wonder how many calories an hours worth of sleep is!!
There are definitely certain people who go at certain times of the day. 3:30 is when our "older" generation seem to tootle on in. We don't have any beautiful people! Muscle bound tend to be all day, everyday.
Lightweights (aka me) vary.
In my old gym, 6:30am was when the committed went. So, I shall put you in the committed category. Serious enough to get there before work.
Thank g*d our gym doesn't open that early, LOL!
Right, enough wittering .... my day is full of DIY.
Perhaps down your pace and concentrate on endurance. It's all very well sprinting for 50yds ..... but there's the rest of the 13miles to go.
I find that if I run 1 mile on the treadmill, I can (when I don't have a cold .. I think I remember the days?) run it in 8:29 (just), but when I'm doing 3 miles, my average is more like 10 mins ....
However, let me on the street ... and I can't run 1/2 mile without stopping .....
and my average is more like 12 mins.
C'mon ... we can do this, even if I'm doing it more in spirit than in reality.
I so want a salsacise class, stomps foot and goes to eat Chinese and drink wine in protest, LOL!
