IT'S SNOWING !!
I love watching the snow fall and settle
I do not love having to go out in it, so hopefully by the time we have to leave to visit my in-laws it would have disappeared
Although, snow fall over here is nothing compared to what JulesW has endured just lately, so there are no complaints over here to be honest.
It's Easer Sunday. So far I have consumed one cup of Camomile & Honey tea and that is it. But there is an easter egg in the fridge and I can't stop thinking about it
It is open, because I opened it on Friday night. As a 'treat' we went to be early Friday to watch TV and eat chocolate - how naughty is that ??
Unfortunately, DH fell asleep before me, and if it wasn't for the fact 'I' bought this egg for him, I would have eaten the lot, and most probably felt completely sick afterwards
Thankfully, as the egg was officially his, I had to draw the line at a nibble here and a nibble there, or he would have killed me the next day. It is now wrapped in tin foil and in the fridge. At least it is wrapped up so I can't get a sneaky bit too easily ![]()
But, it's not just chocolate that has been my saboteur this weekend. We went out for a meal on Friday, but I was good cos the meal wasn't the nicest, so I didn't eat too much, but then we went to my favourite Thai restaurant last night, so I did eat a bit too much of the 'good' stuff - but hey, I'll pay for it quite happily, cos if I gain I'll know why, and I will be happy to take it on the chin and work it off 'again'
Today is another big day. A family get together with the in-laws. I know my FIL will try to ply me with booze, we make great drinking buddies, but 'NO' I'll say (albeit on deaf ears probably!) I am driving and the one glass of vino I had last night is still making itself known in my tummy today - yuk ! I don't like that feeling anymore
Once upon a time I'd quite easily drink 2 bottles, but now my body complains after having just one glass - that can't be a bad feeling - my body definitely likes it's water now a days
Grandad and I spent the day with our grandson Harry-J yesterday. He is such a delight to spend time with. Harry & I met Grandad in the local shopping mall, which was the best place cos the weather was so weird yesterday. Raining then blue skies and sunshine, then sleat, then blue skies and sunshine, hail stones, then blue skies and sunshine, snowing then blue skies and sunshine - see I said it was weird.
DD wanted me to get some socks for Harry, which I am happy to do. So, I came across what I thought was the perfect shop to buy the socks and treat my DD to a couple of bits. I came out of there with a bag full of stuff for DD but no socks for Harry
they didn't sell little boys stuff after all, but DD did alright out of it ![]()
Grandad treated Harry in the end - and Nana-J ![]()
Harry has bought a birthday card for Grandad, it's his birthday next weekend. Nana thinks the card is Hilarious
It says, 'Grandad's are like Dads, but more wrinkly' LOL !!!
He's going to kill me. My poor DH isn't a dad himself, he has inherited my brood and has skipped the 'dad' bit to become a grandad instead. So I thought he'd like the first line of the card anyway ![]()
OK, I gotta go cos Grandad wants some breakfast ... bacon sarnies coming up ![]()
Have a lovely Easter Sunday everyone
Jxx
