Going Out to Eat Again!!!!

Today is Saturday and I have started with a busy morning. I have 2 more weeks left in this music class, so I had to take an online quiz this morning. I also cleaned house and washed clothes. My husband is working today and he says,"We are going out to eat tonight. We are going to have some real food. I have really been stressed out today." THANKS FOR THE WARNING!! I've had a good morning. I ate cereal, for lunch I had a pimento cheese sandwich on whole wheat. (I'll have to watch the bread tonight, huh). I had the 100 calories cheetos and washed it down with a lowfat choc milk that I made. I did this before he called!!!! SO, I guess wherever we go it will be salad or broiled fish for me!!!!  I'm actually thinking about going back to WW as well. JC is a great plan, but the money involved is unbelievable. The food is between 80 and 130 a week. Thats a lot of money! I've wiped out my reserve going there and I am getting bored of the food. I like the french toast and the choc cake, but sometimes you want something thats not cooked in a microwave . I have an appointment Monday, so I have to make up my mind soon. Give me your thoughts, please.

Bought a New Cookbook!!! AGAIN!

I was in Jenny Craig yesterday and I saw this cookbook that looked awesome. It is called volumetrics. It teaches you how to maximize your food. Like taking yogurt and adding berries, fruit and granola to it. Also, I was amazed at the soup. Normally with the recipe, it shows you getting a half a bowl for your 150 calories. They tell you some extra stuff to throw in it and you get an entire bowl full with no more fat. For those of you who don't know there is a lot of Free stuff on the JC plan and vegetables are free. I know what this reminds me of. In WW magazine, each month they do a recipe makeover. This cookbook has alot of makeovers. Check out this tuna salad:

2 Tablespoons Dijon Mustard

2 Tablespoons reduced fat mayo

1/2 c. chopped red onions

1/2 cup chopped red bell peppers

1/2 cup chopped red bell pappers

1/2 c. chopped celery

1- 12 oz can of tuna drained

pinch of black pepper

4- 6" whole wheat pita pockets

1/2 c. shredded arugula or spinach

1/2 c. sliced fresh mushrooms

Calories 285

Carbs 32

Fat 6g

Protein 27 g

Fiber 6g

NOW THAT IS A BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!!!

The real reason I bought the cookbook was because it had a banana split on the front cover!!!! Might be a great investment. What do you think of that recipe?

Weight Gain and NEW Jenny Salmon

I gained 1.6 lbs last week while I played around in NC! I refused the bread at the Olive Garden. I ate cereal every morning, so it could have been worse. I told the counselor before I stood up on the scales that I had probably gained about 3 lbs. Both of us were happy when it was only 1.6! So the focus for this week is to lose the 1.6 before next Monday's weigh in. I have a planned menu and I have decided that I will repeat the first week of the plans menu next week as well. I really need to quit being a SLACKER. I wish all of you guys could be at the apartment tonght forcing me to walk on the treadmill. I tried the new Salmon from Jenny Craig . Its very good and filling. The teriyaki sauce is yummi. I got some of the new Tortilla soup. I will try it one day this week and let you know how it taste. Have a great afternoon.

I have Been Trying to Blog for 3 Days!!

This site locked me out again. I have tried to comment on a lot of you guys's blog, but I couldn't. It has been a great week. I really enjoyed the trip to North and South Carolina. I have to get back to the real world tomorrow morning. I am going to JC to weigh in tomorrow as well. I am expecting at least a 2 lb gain. I will be honest, I ate out 3 nights in a row. 1 night at the Olive Garden I really blew it!!!! Kristi Queen can vouch for that. The other 2 times I ate moderately. Today I had a great JC breakfast, a 100 calorie snack and I went out to Picadilly's and had grilled tilapia, blackeye peas and a salad and a sugarfree chocolate pie they had. It was really good. I am going to plan on exercizing this week. REALLY!!! I have been a real slacker. I have been a nervous wreck trying to finish this business project for school. It went well Wednesday night. As soon as I get my grade I will let you guys know. I am already looking for a Master's program, mainly because I am not ready to pay back the 25K I accumulated in student loans. I might take a 6 mos break and do some volunteer work. I hope all of you have a great on plan week. May you be strong in your moment of weakness and resist!!!!!

Happy Valentines Day!!

Sorry, I have been such a slacker on posting. I did weigh-in on Monday, I lost 1 lb. However, I know this week I will gain it back. I am a nervous wreck. I am presenting my final business project at school, so that I can be a 40 year old graduating grandmaw! So many of you have asked, my degree will be in Business Management! It has been a long 4 years. I am thinking about going on to get my Masters, but I need at least a 6 month leave. I want to volunteer with the Human Society and do some volunteer work during that time. I am softie for homeless animals. This week I am staying in the Charlotte area. I plan on visiting old friends and going to the dentist!!!! I'll be back to my normal informative posting next week. I have a lot of blog reading to do too!

Still Here and Still Doing It!!

I am almost finished with the school presentation!! I miss my Blog. Couldn't blog for the last 5 days, I have been spending ALL my time on this school project until yesterday! I finished and went to a movie. I saw Norbit. It was so funny. I laughed SO HARD! I am going to weigh in today at 11:40. I'll get to see how I did last week. I think it will be ok, nothing fantastic. I travel to Charlotte tomorrow. Wednesday night I get to give my presentation and then I will be back to myself next week. I have waited over 20 years to finish college!!! I am going to be a 40 year old graduate!!! YIPEE!!!! I'll update after weigh in.

We knew it Would Happen Sooner or Later!!!

New Changes are here!!!! I don't mind the small ads, but $6 a month? I need to check and see exactly what I get for $6. I'd like to be notified when others update their log. I have to scan through all the blogs to see if amyones blogged. I'm going in to this with an open mind and see what happens. I get 6 months to try it. So far I can say its been worth more than $6 a month. You can't put a price on the friendship that I've attained or the encouragement that I have gotten from all you guys! However, no one pays me to provide content....... Good luck to all of you and I hope we all end up staying. P.S. I have been staying pretty much on plan and I hope you have too! Man Loses 120 Lbs since last April!

I was watching News4Jax tonight and a local guy lost 120 lbs since last April! He was told by his Dr that his health was very bad. He had diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol. All the stuff I have!!! He said he loved his family so much that he asked them to help him. He has been succesful. He eats lowfat. Nothing fried and he eats fruits for snacks. He looked really great. His family went with him to the track to walk. They play sports with him and they basically made it a family affair. I looked for a link on their website, but I couldn't find it. He said that he drank a 12 pack of Coke a day before and now he has switched to 7 up plus. I have to look that up and see whats in it??? Maybe some green tea? I hope they follow up with him in a few months. Bless his heart, he was so country. Missing some teeth and stuff, but his will was unbelievable. Good for him. Luv u all, I have to work on homework, take care.

I had  agreat weigh in. I have lost a little more. I am looking forward to a busy weekend. I have to have my Businees Project completed by 2/13. I have to go to Charlotte and present it on 2/14 in order to get my Bachelors in business. So I will be slack on the blogging responses for the next 2 weeks, so please forgive me. I Didn't Blog Yesterday!!!!

I was so busy yesterday. I had a great on plan day until I binged on sushi last night. I don't feel guilty, its not like eating fried stuff, so I'll be ok. I weigh in on Friday. I can't wait to go. I need more french toast and meatball sandwich. Those are my favorite. Sometimes I eat french toast for supper. Yum. Gotta go the morning alarm is going off! Have a great on plan day.
