A New Year A New Me?
Wow, I have been on extrapounds about 13 months now! I have not been continuous, but if I had been, I probably would be a lot healthier than I am. Someohow I have managed to keep off the 20 lbs. I lost last year on Jenny Craig. I guess I got used to the portion control. Whatever! I made 2 resolutions this year. 1 that I keep carrying over and over (weight loss) and the other is to get organized. Some people swear I am the most organized person they know, but I am not. The Blackberry keeps me at all my appointments, but you should see my bedroom, my truck and my home office. WOW, what a mess. I decided this morning when I woke up that I was going to get back to better eating habits. I searched around my home office until I found this brown crinkled piece of paper that I had pulled out of my mom's old recipe box. It was a diet that she went on in the 70s at a local clinic. I saved it because I really like it and it goes with the basics, like your veggies, and three square meals with meat, but it eliminates all the bread. I like the last sentence on the page, it says,"IF NOT LISTED ON THIS SHEET DO NOT EAT! How simple is that? They should call this the diet for dummies, right? Anyway, I am going grocery shopping and I will try to stock up the cupboard tonight and see what I can do on it. I'll try it for 6 weeks and see what happens. I have to try it for 6 weeks, because I just typed it here to hold myself responsible. Ill log my food everyday and we'll see what happens. Happy New Years to all my old pals, I'll check in on you soon!
